Okay, here's my challenging situation. I have to go get my car out of the shop and they don't stay open very late. Thus, I have to do a super-fast yet effective workout before I head home to get my kid and go to the shop so he can drive one car home while I drive the other.
So I will do the "busy man" workout with old-school proven exercises that get the job done in 20 minutes, max! You get no rest between sets, except to change plates for the deadlift. The overhead presses are one-piece barbell/weghts in increments of 50,60, 70, etc. so no time is wasted there. Three sets on the deadlift, two on everything else. No bullshit, no waiting, just pure awesomeness.
1. deadlift
2. pushups (elevated, feet on a bench to make them harder, thus shortening the time to get a good set in)
3. chinups/pullups
4. dips
5. overhead press
no waiting for equipment, and all these can be done from one corner of the weight-room. I've been doing a lot of these lately, so I have no excuse for "not having time" for exercise. I can't wait for quitting time!!!!
