ah, but maybe it just LOOKS like plastic. It's almost certainly not since there would be many options that would function similarly when you have a replicator. Basically everything you see on screen (glass on console screens for example) need not be what the actual set is built out of.
In the article, Matlas said the reason he didn't do the conspiracy bugs was because when they infiltrated someone, that person died. He didn't want to do that because... well I guess someone we know & love might be a doppleganger.
Admiral Quinn was very much infected and didn't die, though, Picard noted in his log at the end of the episode that Quinn was on his way to making a full recovery. Everyone else with a bug in them got phasered to death before anyone could even try to remove them safely. Even if that wasn't the case, it would be 1000% easier to just say "oh yeah, Beverly/Starfleet/The Borg figured out a way to remove the bugs safely since the last time we saw them" instead of making so many changes (heh) to the changelings. It's pissing on the legacy of DS9, just like when Worf decided he'd rather be firing the phasers on the Enterprise E than working as a strategic operations officer or the Federation ambassador to the Klingon Empire.
Yea, it's the same with the Borg - we know the individuals can be "disconnected" and return to a normal life. But, instead Starfleet just keeps exploding Borg cubes with everyone inside them. How many of the crew on the new Titan would have been infected by the bugs?
Removing the bugs would be easier than removing nanoprobes. Crusher could make a shot that makes human blood yucky, like the shot they gives cats and dogs for fleas. Frontline for conspiracy bugs.

It's all photons and force fields on the holodeck, but I do think that him twisting the straw that way is a clue.
Nope, food (and everything attached to it like silverware and straws) is replicated. Otherwise, where is that biological waste Mariner empties out coming from? Yeah, a lot of it is jizz from the porn programs, but its gotta be pee & doody too.
If there was anything that cements S2 Picard as the worst season of Trek ever put to film, the fact that this was even considered definitely puts it over the top. It's telling how badly they botched this one because while I've met people who enjoy pairings like Worf/Troi and Bashir/Ezri, I can only count two C/7ers ever in the 22 years I've been a Trek fan...and one of them I ran into in the wild two days ago.
Although knowing how shippers work, I'm sure a big part of the lasting hate it that it tanked four other very popular pairings at once and those groups along with Chakotay haters formed Voltron to hate on that till the end of time.
I actually think that having Chakotay there and married to Seven would have helped sell the "this is the darkest timeline" angle. Of course alternate Seven would have a beard for public appearances, and of course alternate Chakotay would go along with it because he has no principles. Bring back that lady Seven killed in season one to be the meek personal assistant she's clearly fucking on the side in this timeline. "Alt Chakotay: My people have a saying... Fuck bitches, get money."
FWIW I feel like Seven only considered Chakotay though a process of elimination. Chakotay was only answerable to Janeway, Seven was only answerable to Janeway, Janeway wasn't going to fuck either of them, romancing anyone else would have meant settling for an inferior, which Chakotay wouldn't do because he's a professional, and Seven wouldn't do because she's too proud. There was literally no one else, other than Neelix. Then as soon as he left, they finally got together...
There's no way Harry and Holodoc weren't fucking the same Seven holo-sim to ease their respective heartbroken crushes.
I bet a lot of people in-universe have Borg fetishes, mostly because they've never considered the smell.
They finally explained the whole thing of whether Titan-A is a refit or a new ship. It's both. They recycled Titan's guts and raw matrials into the Titan-A. https://trekmovie.com/2023/03/15/co...ek-picard-behind-the-scenes-details-revealed/
Infected pus slime around the implants. Sweat from the humid cube atmosphere. Showers (sonic or otherwise) being zero priority. Toothbrushes being zero priority.
Harry could have "had" Seven? Did I miss something? Because I don't think Seven was ever receptive to Harry. Or is this one of those ... she's a woman so she'll do what she's told kinds of things?
No, she spotted Harry's early attempts to interact with her as sexual interest (correctly), told him she was willing to investigate human sexuality, and to remove his clothes. Of course, this was back when she was still having issues with self-identity so consent was an issue. But yeah, he coulda gone there.
oh. Right. So, based on this, that's the response that Harry could have had Seven. Ok. Not really the sentiment I thought was being conveyed. Carry on.
