We used to have a :liet: smilie of a giant Oreo. It was useful as a reminder when someone would start taking Liet seriously and acting like he had good ideas/knew what he was talking about/wasn't a racist piece of shit. It seems to be gone. Where'd it go? And why get rid of such useful board functionality?
Huh, no idea. Although we have tended lately not to use personalized smilies for derisive purposes. Similarly trollish smilie code for :captainx: and :johncastle: were removed at their request. But if you think such things are cool, do you mind if we create something appropriate for : volpone : such as a crying puppet?
There was another, larger one. Now I'm all for pulling the redundant smilies, but I found it odd. And I find it odd that apparently I'm the only person here that remembers it. If someone had said "we got rid of it because we already had : oreo :" I'd have bought that but the whole "What? A :liet: smilie? I've never heard of it." seems a bit disingenuous.
I don't need a smiley to keep bringing up how Volpone laughed at Nova's neck getting broken, and how it makes him a sack of fetid molded over dog excrement that doesn't get to judge anybody on anything pretty much forever.
Yep, we've only ever had : oreo : If Liet had another smiley, it was back when the founding members all have vanity smileys that they camed for giggles and shits. But I don't think this one is a conspiracy, especially with the ten mile long list of emotioncons we have on this board. Also, this. I mean, the oreo insult was towards me and I have a packadermic memory for most board dramas that have happened since '05, and even I don't flag Liet for this as much as others have.
