So why the Green Room? It's filmed with an all kitten cast, duh!

    Vicious little things!

I've often wondered how stores can sell so many cat toys when they're just as happy playing with trash.

Owners don't want their pets playing with trash, probably.

Tin foil balls are a great cat toy. The cat loses one, fifteen seconds and mere pennies worth of tin foil later and BAM another ball.
Pipe cleaners (our older cat's favorite) are good too. Grab a few and twist them together into different springy critter shapes
and toss them at the cat. They can catch them, bat them around, etc. Because they are springy they keep vibrating for a few seconds
looking almost alive. They are in addition to paper bags and boxes of course.

We used to have a cat who loved chasing plastic grocery bags that I had tied up in a little ball. And one of my current kitties likes twist ties. Yeah, almost anything can be a toy for a cat.

I'm paranoid about my cats playing with plastic bags (choking hazard). And our youngest might choke on a twist tie.
Yeah, I worry too much but my cats have done some stupid things in the past.
What cracks me up is "scratching posts." Cats won't use them, unless you disguise them as incredibly expensive
    furniture. :brood:

Yes, my living room is filled with scratching posts. Fuckers are vicious when it comes to upholstery.

It's their world, we just live in it. Most of the shit we humans do and value is silly. I am among those who feel that we have much to learn from the animal world. Heck with teaching chimps how to use sign language -
have cats teach us how to hunt, move, exercise, behave, etc. etc. and you'll get no complaint from me.

I've always wanted to ask Jane Goodall if she's thought about teaching chimps sign language to give them a better chance at survival.

I don't get people who want to spend money on new furniture and stress about keeping it in pristine condition. I would rather have secondhand furniture and pets.

Agree! Nothing I have stays in pristine condition under any conditions, period, animals around or not. The second I look at something new it gets scratches, dents, dings, stains, etc. etc. Nothing I have lasts too long either, so it's no point in getting the best of anything. I am cursed that way, but maybe it's a blessing?
    Who knows?
