It better have good production values, good acting, and a decent script. Because 68 year old Ahnuhld isn't much of a draw anymore.

    I'm in.

    I liked Destroyer fine, though.

Seriously. I thought the thread title said something about Arnold at 82, and believed that was possible!

"Conan the Octagenarian" - I can see the image now, Ahnuld holding aloft a sharpened zimmer frame battling the triple foes of Arthur Eyetus, Al-Zeymerz and Katar Akt in the distant land of Ost-eo-rhosis...

Its got to be better than the reboot. I was seething with anger while watching that one.

While Jason Momoa may not be anywhere near the draw that Ahnold was, the reboot effectively brought the Hyborian Age to life! MUCH better locations/cinematography. Plus, ya know, nekkid Rachel Nichols...

If you say so. I fell asleep after 20 minutes. Perhaps it was the 3d version that made everything distracting and boring.

I didn't see that, but I had the same feeling watching the reboot of Total Recal.

Well, which was it...seething with anger, or asleep from boredom? Can't have it both ways... :finger:

Meh, just because you have bad taste doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. Give it another go. :walz:

I liked the Mamoa version a LOT. Only problem I had was I thought the antagonists weren't up to snuff. But they got Conan down, and Hyboria looked awesome. The Conan movies most people grew up with had relatively little to do with the books.

At the end of the first movie they teased "King Conan" on his throne (which looked awesome). I'd assume the film will be that - old King Conan telling a story of his youth, with a younger actor in the flashbacks.

Nope, I'm hearing King Conan as the protagonist all the way.

They could do it like the end of the Beowulf tale, where the king has to go out and fight one last enemy.
