No, actually, he doesn't. The laser-pointer itself makes no "beam," just a spot. The only way of making a beam appear is some reflective matter: smoke or steam. The picture before compositing doesn't give clues. Nice work however it was done.
I did omit that bit - the laser pointer is locked down on a tripod. The camera was on automatic and did a loooong exposure. While the shutter was open, I turned a can of computer spray-air upside-down and sprayed the propellant (or whatever that cold white gas is) into the beam.
Well with my success rate that's Bambi and his mother just after I arrive, and before they depart in a fit of deer laughter.
My friends and I saw that movie first run in a theater in Paramus, NJ, about a mile west of Hackensack. Half the audience was from Hackensack. That scene went over real big.
The doe spent Thursday afternoon exploring the nooks and crannies of my back yard - and eating it - while I sat on the porch reading.
That's about the closest thing to a domesticated deer I've ever seen. They have cattle out west that won't get that close to humans.
Me and a coupla buds decided to make a western circa 1986ish. Got a couple of scenes on video. Took some fun photos. Never finished it. The sepiatone memories remain...
Yes I have been experiencing a lot of this too lately. Sometimes only a distance of a few miles makes a big difference. Afternoons/evenings are a bitch! I like winter rains - either it rains over a big area (like half the state) all day long or it doesn't. It's easier to plan around that.
This is an older model I painted at least a decade ago, but I decided I needed some good hi res photos to update my website with. I don't do many figure models, and I don't think I'm very good with flesh tones and faces. But I'm pretty happy with the way this one came out. Damn Forbin! That's the last time I send you a pic of my honeymoon so you can artistically render it into art. I'm nowhere near that scrawny looking - and my wife is left handed thank you very much!
