I'm sure I'll catch this eventually on Blu, but I've never liked Deadpool in the comics, and the whole concept comes off as a being made for obnoxious 14 y/o's. The character is very hit & miss in the comics, some writers are able to infuse some genuine humor, others just write him as an annoying jackass. That isn't fun to read.

That's because Deadpool is both an annoying jackass and genuinely funny.

I've never been a big Deadpool fan either. But this was a good movie and the movie is not for 14 y/o's.

I'd kind of compare him to Doctor House. Sometimes, jackasses can be funny and extremely fun to watch, even if we wouldn't like dealing with them in person ourselves.

I finally got around to seeing this. It was good and funny. I usually don't do blind buy's, but this was worth it.

It's a really good movie but I dunno if it deserves Oscar consideration.

However the Oscars are pretty ridiculous so I guess it sort of makes sense.

The Oscars have historically snubbed comic book movies.

I'm not 100 percent sure, but I think that is were the creator of Deadpool got the idea for his name.

It should get a nomination. It was a good movie.

It's time for the Oscars to stop being so damn snobby about movies.

It's always interesting to compare the movies released in a given year to those nominated or that win. Quite often, the movies that don't get nominated or win are the ones most talked about years later, while the others are largely forgotten.

If Deadpool gets an Oscar then we need to retrospectivly award Point Break (original), The Rock and Bad Boys2 awards!

I'd tend to agree, there's a lot that's unique and brilliant about this movie.

I think Deadpool says it best near the beginning: "You're probably thinking, "My boyfriend said this was a superhero movie but that guy in the suit just turned that other guy into a fucking kabab!" Well, I may be super, but I'm no hero. And yeah, technically, this is a murder. But some of the best love stories start with a murder. And that's exactly what this is, a love story. And to tell it right... I gotta take you back to long before I squeezed this ass into red spandex."

We got nudity, but it was just Wade's ass.

Eh, butt isn't much. Hell, we got T'Pol's butt on ENT. Hardly worthy of an R rating.

No, there was stripper titty, and Morena Baccarin titty.
It just didn't linger like Wade's ass.

Huh, I don't remember seeing any. I remember being disappointed because she'd done a nude scene in another movie a while back.

It's at the very beginning of the "calendar girl", scene when she's riding him cowgirl.

Blink and you'll miss it nudity is not the proper kind of nudity, especially when it concerns Morena Baccarin.
