There's always the character issue. And the more cosmopolitan among us often say how backward we are on this issue, and the fact that a politician will lie to a woman he has pledged to be faithful to has nothing to do with how he'll act while he's in office. Right. They'd often refer us to Europe, and how they do it right over there. It doesn't matter in the least. Look at the French. Then the French head of the IMF comes over here and 'allegedly' rapes his maid at his hotel. And now the French are having a loooongggg discussion over what this is and what it really means.
I'm just telling you why I am angry at the moment. I'll be pissed off about the underage girls if it turns out to be true. Obviously. If you think I wouldn't be than you haven't read pretty much anything I've written in the last five years or so. Other notes: Fair point. Not ALL men cheat. But a disturbing number of them do. This isn't just a me thing, in actuality very few of my problems with men relate to cheating, mainly becasue I'm not married. If the relationship isn't working, we break up. However, the stats show that at least 40% of men admit to being unfaithful, and that's just the number that report it. Given the nature of the deed, we can assume a certain amount of underreporting. Given that, and a number of other things, my belief in long term committed relationships as a sustainable model for relationship satisfaction is slim at best. It is still the best model if you want kids. Breitbart altered video of Shirley Sherrod, proving to me that he is willing to alter the facts and take people down for his agenda. I'm never cool with that in journalism. It really pisses me off coming from either side, and why I am in general disenchanted with the media. Breitbart is one of the worst offenders in this sense.
Here's a hint: If a guy will sleep with you before you're married (and hence, outside of marriage), he will most likely sleep with someone else once you're married... again, outside of marriage.
He already was legitimate. You just didn't like him. Sure. If they are dating you. Perhaps they aren't the problem...... Otherwise you've got a mile wide brush thing going there.....
Oh and Vandy if you're going to say all men cheat then all women cheat as well since unless all the men are cheating with each other women are involved in the cheating.
Got to love guy. He claims he knows what he did is wrong and accepts full responsibility. But he doesn't want to give up his job, perks, or money.
You just now noticed? As Lazarus Long said "Everyone lies about sex"...I'm not advocating open marriages, or promiscuous sex and certainly not in favor of anything non consensual, but it takes two to tango and a married person has to have a willing partner to cheat. None of that excuses what Weiner (or any other politician caught cheating) did, but I think we could do better than "all men are pigs" as a response...
I can't help but wonder if this is your total lack of experience talking or if you're just poorly attempting to troll all the faithful married guys here who slept with their wives before marriage.
Well he is a democrat after all, as long as he votes pro-choice and pro-gay rights, he should be able to do whatever he wants!!!
Yeah pretty lame of Anthony Weiner. Is this the end of politics, should he resign, for AW? Who knows. If some Republicans can tolerate a candidate for President who was cheating on his second wife with the now third Mrs. Family Values (Hi Newt!), I guess anything is possible in American electoral politics.
Weiner should vacate that office immediately. I don't personally care that he cheated, or who he cheated with. It's none of my business. I'm sure his wife is pissed though. If I were her, I'd dump the scum. But his actions demonstrate that he is a liar and a moron. And very immature. He shouldn't be holding any sort of public office.
I'd have put 'em both up Monday night if I'd been on-line. The glee that Rocky Racoon feels at Rep. Weiner having to admit that he was the "right wing conspirator" who'd "hacked" his twitter account (really, how old is this asshole?), was truly gratifyng. If this had been Alan Grayson, (or Chuck Schumer in the Senate) it would have been a three-'coon salute. Speaking of Grayson, anyone have any ideas who'll be stepping into the role of Resident asshole of the House now that Weiner's as cooked as a ball-park frank in October? Edit: I nominate Pete Stark of California. Stark shows his regard for his voters and the security of our borders. [YT="Who are you gonna kill today?"]TsBP2sbhjCA&feature=related[/YT]
The question is, if you did a show about John Edwards and Anthony Weiner as cellmates, would you do it as a reality show or a more conventional sitcom? I demand that "Three's Company" era John Ritter play Edwards.
To the "underage" chick angle, she's seventeen. Having a hard time getting wound up here. If she was sixteen at the time maybe but if not, really...
Like as not, that one is innocent, but the cops going to her house to check it out, well, let's see if he's squiming any more when he pops hs head out later today...
Anyone else think the pic of his whole chest with that creepy half-smile is very much like Christian Bale in American Psycho?
