    I remember a summer where Korn and Limp Bizkit ruled everything, just insanely popular, they even had a tour with Eminem called Anger Managment which I saw in the old Tacoma Dome just outside of Seattle

    That whole nu-rock wave sure didn't last, did it

    Sub-genres that are only popular for a few years, if that, are common. The weird thing about nu-metal is that when it faded, all rock music faded from the mainstream, never to return.

    It sucks, but luckily things like Pandora and Spotify came along so it's easy to just listen to whatever, doesn't matter if it's popular.
