If you think I interpreted the dictionary wrong, you hate the dictionary. If I love kittens and Israel, and you hate Netanyahu, you're an anti-semite and a kitten-hater. If you disagree with (insert politician), you hate America. And are a terrorist! If you don't think Jesus would love guns and racism, you're an anti Christian bigot. And a terrorist! Now, excuse me, I have to use a bunch of ethnic and homophobic slurs, and cry about being called a bigot. Really hard. Like, to hiccups, and shivering, and getting all blushy and overheated.
What I said is that they can't be expected to know how to read, you complete and utter LYING PIECE OF SHIT. Literacy means the ability to fucking read, period. Take your tiresome, bad faith hair splitting and blow it out of your jiggly ass. How many articles have I posted about literacy rates in college studentts? Have another one. https://www.persuasion.community/p/the-average-college-student-is-illiterate There is also a link to a study in there, which you can fucking download yourself.
I was actually about to ask this be split off. Back on track, as a non-Brit, what would happen if Binface actually won the election?
If the Count draws anything over 1% it will be an incredible humiliation for Farage. Being made sport of is not something Farage would like.
Today I learned that Members of Parliament don't actually resign, they get appointed to fake jobs with names like "Crown Steward and Bailiff of the Manor of Northstead" and "Crown Steward and Bailiff of the three Chiltern Hundreds of Stoke, Desborough and Burnham," the Manor of Northstead being a house that collapsed in the 1600s and whose site is now under a lake, because a law passed in 1623 says that MPs can't resign, but a law passed in 1680 says that you can't be an MP if you hold an "office of profit under the crown," and although neither of those offices actually carries a salary, plus the House of Commons Disqualification Act 1975 actually repealed the prohibition on MPs holding offices of profit, that law also specified those two positions as still being incompatible with service as an MP, because apparently that was easier than just also repealing the law that says MPs can't resign, and also the MPs have to submit an application for those Crown Steward and Bailiff positions to somebody called the Chancellor of the Exchequer, who traditionally grants the appointment but is not technically required to, so the fact that Nigel Farage is running against Count Binface, Nick the Incredible Flying Brick, Joseph 77, and somebody from the Everyone Is God Party may not actually be the weirdest thing about this story.
https://www.theguardian.com/politic...sferred-2m-mother-beforer-reform-uk-donations So in a sane world he’d be done right? A convicted fraudster hiding out in Montenegro who was Reform UK’s shadow treasurer who Farage said ‘was like a son’ using crypto exchanges to give their mother $2m and said mother donating the pound equivalent of $2m to Reform UK within a week is pretty plainly money laundering and campaign finance fraud right?
I enjoy watching "The Rest is Politics" but I have to say that I"m a bit gobsmacked that Rory and Alistair were wondering why Count Binface isn't actively campaigning in Clacton. Uh...guys...it's a joke. He's a joke candidate who's in the process of turning Farage into a laughingstock. Geez...I feel like an American explaining to a German why we would call a man who weighs 300 pounds "tiny". And to think the Brits are proud of their sense of humour
So what happens if he wins? Will he still wear that get-up in the Commons? Will he get up on his hind legs & talk policy? Will he cast votes? Traditionally joke candidates are a good joke but nobody votes for them.
