Do you remember watching old movies and shows where the White House was visible or workers in the White House were featured and it just seemed so fake, but now, now you wish it could just be like that instead.

I'm watching "House of Dynamite" on Netflix and most of it seems it could be pretty realistic, about 11 years ago.

I imagine it would be hard to go back and watch the US House of Cards now seeing how outdated the slow calculated subtle scheming would look.

Shame that Spacey turned out to be such a fuckwit, because I'd other love a present day skit featuring Frank Underwood getting drunk while ranting about Trump and how it's impossible to scheme with him being so chaotic.

During the 1st Trump reign, I heard an interview with the writers of Veep and they said that some of the shit that was happening was similar to ideas that they'd rejected for being "too unbelievable." Mind you, more than a few people connected to DC said, before Trump was elected, that House of Cards was how the folks in DC saw themselves, while Veep was how they actually were.

Well, Trump isn't actually able to use stairs and his only use for them is as something to pose for photos in front of as if he had just descended them, so that could be a feature rather than a bug.

When I went to an Indian New Years Eve party last year I learned that Indian people love posing on stairs. The venue had a big set of stairs to nowhere and they were packed all night with groups taking selfies.

I also learned that the combining large amounts of cold medicine, alcohol, and a massive Indian buffet turns me into the greatest dancer alive.

Stairs are one of the easiest ways to introduce levels into a photo, which is good both for making sure you can see everyone (no heads just barely visible in the third row) and also for reducing the awkwardness of poses and adding visual interest — people can sit on the stairs, lean on the bannisters, etc., and it just overall makes for a much more interesting shot.
