Hey!! Is there gonna be a Dr. McCoy in the new Trek movie?

Some websites don't show a Dr. McCoy in the cast.

Yes, played by Karl Urban. He played Rohan warrior Eomer from LOTR.

I was on a Trek Core Movies website and he was not listed in the cast.

Strange, but he is the new Dr. McCoy.

I can't wait for this movie. They better not have any more delays.

No they decided to skip Dr. McCoy and replace him with Tuvok. They figured that all the TOS fans are dead and the Voyager fans would be too dumb to notice the difference.

However, the movie about me is likely to recieve much more critical acclaim.

This is Star Trek. A movie about a rat licking shit off a Wendy's wrapper in a trashcan outside a liquor store is likely to garner more critical acclaim.

I was unaware of this casting choice. This dude has been pretty unimpressive in everything I've seen him in. Listening to him deliver dialog is fairly painful.

he's australian isn't he? it'll be interesting to hear him do a southern American accent...

Isn't he a little bit on the large and intimidating side to be playing Bones? I "get" all the other casting choices, but not this one.

Will they use prosthetics to Urban the giant bags under his eyes like DeKelley?

I think the bags come after a few years taking care of Kirk. He'll get the prosthetics for the next movie.

But can he arch his eyebrow?? That will be the true test.

McCoy did it alot also.

Given that Urban's face has been shown to be largely immobile, there may be plans to use CGI for this.
