There are incidents where Hamas have done the same. It's likely that they're doing it with Israeli hostages right now. Hamas are cunts. But they do not do it as relentlessly as is required by genocide groupies who want to excuse every massacre on that basis. Because in December we were talking about defenceless Palestinian civilians. Here we're talking about a military force who can't move for other reasons.
Fucking hell. It's only four sentences long. There are two armoured tractors also visible building a defensive position to conceal the tanks.
I’ll need to see if they are talking about the same position as the three parked tanks in the above image because that berm was already there whenever Google Maps took this image:
RickDeckard has explained to you multiple times that he isn’t saying Hamas isn’t doing this. Rather, he saying Israel also is. Everyone else is arguing Israel isn’t.
Okay. It does look like they have established a patrol base close to UNP 6-52. https://www.bellingcat.com/news/202...li-military-presence-near-un-base-in-lebanon/ Combined with the burning of fields and clearing of orchards that doesn’t look good.
But three tanks!!!111. What would you say it looks like? And would you now agree that associating such actions with "the Jews" is problematic?
The place the three tanks were parked is not the same location as where the patrol base was established. The PB is further away. Still too close IMO. But not the same. And not a FOB.
Rick and his extensive military experience arguing with a US army veteran about military terminology. Jesus.
No, Rick arguing that the precise military terminology is irrelevant, and now you lying about it, as usual.
Oh, and here we have Hezbollah begging for a ceasefire, saying they don't care about ongoing activities in Gaza any more just make it stop. Well, at least they are realists. https://www.ynetnews.com/article/h1huyrz1ye Hezbollah calls for unconditional cease-fire regardless of fighting in Gaza Analysis: Naim Qassem, who served as Hassan Nasrallah's deputy until his assassination, stated in a speech that Hezbollah 'agrees to an unconditional cease-fire'; However, this is a desperate plea, likely coordinated with Iran, due to the group's severe military distress
No, this is you never ever ever admitting you are wrong about anything, ever. You cited a piece that used incorrect terminology, someone who is an expert in that field corrected you, and you continued to argue with him, until you declared it's 'irrelevant.' No, you don't get to declare unilaterally what is and isn't relevant, it's just an excuse to deflect as you don't want to admit you were wrong. You were wrong Rick. Sit over in the corner and bask in your wrongness. Man, what the hell happened to your brain. The internet sure does break some people.
Interesting how you insist on using precise terminology when you think it'll exonerate groups like Hamas, but suddenly it's not important when it's time to condemn the IDF.
Y'know, they've lost so many of their top guys that I think it's worth considering. But the moment Hezbollah breaks the ceasefire, the moment they launch a single rocket, the IDF should resume operations with no breaks and no mercy until Hezbollah is completely eliminated.
I insist on precise terminology when doing so is relevant. It isn't relevant here, it was just another way to divert from the latest bad thing that the IDF are doing. Also, it appears in the last couple of hours that the IDF have agreed to fuck off after pressure from the UN. Hoping that's the end of it.
The terrorist interns in my city celebrating the murders and rapes of last October 7th managed to get a "Death to Canada" chant going https://x.com/Trudeaus_Ego/status/1843659193821319273 I'm usually not a fan of deportations but I can make an exception in this case I think
Normally I'd concur, but we've seen this pattern of behavior over and over again. Of course they will launch another attack - they've indoctrinated their people so convincingly that they lack operational control over them, they just hate Israel too much to stop. At this point I think I'd rather see them weakened to the point that the other powers in Lebanon can gain the upper hand on them. Just like Hamas, Hezbollah should be so totally depleted they can barely function.
The IDF has stated that Hamas has moved it's command and control from hospitals to schools. You can always tell the good guys. They launch rockets and then hide behind children. https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/article-823796
In both cases how long will that take and what happens the next day? Fatah/PA can barely control the West Bank and who knows what happens when Abbas dies. Ever since Hezbollah killed Hariri (and 22 others) with a car bomb Lebanese politics have been a cluster fuck with long stretches without a government (in the parliamentary sense, the civil service keeps limping along). There were talks of a GCC led transitional peace keeping force for Gaza. Could they also do Lebanon? Would the West and our allies pay for it?
That article is equivalent to writing about the Parkland High School Massacre, using Nikolas Cruz as the sole source and printing everything he says as gospel truth. Only worse.
Part of Hezbollah’s appeal was that it balanced out the inherent discrimination against the Shias in the Lebanese political system. The parliament is elected along confessional lines, with half the seats going to Christians and half Muslims. These are supposed to be adjusted over time. However a census hasn’t been held since 1932 because both the Christians and the Sunni Muslims want to maintain the status quo. If it were adjusted Christians would likely have only ~35% of the seats with rest split between the Sunni and Shia and no one is really sure which would come out ahead (Shia feel they would). Right now the President is always a Christian, Prime Minister a Sunni and a Speaker of the House (least powerful position) a Shia. The Christians and Sunnis like the current system and work together against the Shia. The Shia aren’t really fond of that. Hezbollah was able to channel Iranian money to provide social services that the government couldn’t/wouldn’t which gained them support even among those who weren’t supportive of their terrorism. Either the current system will have to be adjusted (good luck getting the Christians and Sunnis to agree) or some kind of non-terrorist quasi-state organization set up to fill that gap (funded by who?) or Iran will be back in another form.
Report: Sinwar ordered suicide bombings renewed after taking power, has been cast as ‘megalomaniac’ by Hamas officials Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar ordered the terror group’s leaders in the West Bank to renew suicide terror attacks in Israel shortly after he replaced the slain Ismail Haniyeh as head of Hamas’s politburo, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing unnamed Arab intelligence officials. The order was given shortly before a failed suicide bombing in Tel Aviv, the report says. Some senior Hamas members reportedly have reservations about the decision, but have not been speaking up on the matter since Sinwar took power. The practice was commonplace during the bloody Second Intifada in the early 2000s, as well as in the 1990s, but has become rare since Israel built a security barrier around the West Bank and boosted its intelligence-gathering methods to thwart such plots. The Wall Street Journal report also confirms previous reports that Sinwar has recently renewed contact with ceasefire-and-hostage deal mediators, citing unnamed Arab officials involved in the mediation. The outlet says it has viewed a handwritten letter by Sinwar from last month, saying Hamas is ready for a prolonged war of attrition to “break Israel’s will” and pave the way for the Jewish state’s demise. The report paints a story in which Sinwar is an extremist figure even among the ranks of the Palestinian terror group, having refused last year to travel out of Gaza for reconciliation talks with rival Palestinian factions due to fears Haniyeh would unseat him during this time. It says Sinwar surprised even other Hamas members overseas with the timing of the October 7, 2023, onslaught in southern Israel, citing unnamed current and former Arab and Israeli officials. This prompted Hamas officials in Qatar to privately call Sinwar a “megalomaniac,” the report says, adding that Sinwar has recently been talking about the current war and his own role in it in “increasingly grandiose terms.” After Haniyeh’s assassination in July, Hamas political officials had reportedly suggested former leader Khaled Mashaal as his successor, before the Sinwar-led military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, sent a message that Sinwar must be picked. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveb...been-cast-as-megalomaniac-by-hamas-officials/ Not good.
It is still like watching two drunk dudes or chicks in a bar who cannot calm themselves down. The only difference is there are no cops coming to drag both sides off to jail to face punishment for their violence.
At the same time as they are "cleansing" Northern Gaza to enact the Generals Plan (look it up) the IDF are firing at UNIFIL outposts in Lebanon. Three separate locations wee attacked simultaneously and two have been injured. https://www.rte.ie/news/middle-east/2024/1010/1474643-middle-east-blog/ UNIFIL: "IDF soldiers deliberately fired at and disabled the position's perimeter-monitoring cameras." Now, why would they want to disable any surveillance of their activities?
Well, let's see. Why would the IDF consider UNIFIL monitoring it's troops to be a problem? The UN has had terrorists on its staff, undeniably now. UNIFIL absolutely refused to act against Hezbollah as they ignored UN resolution 1701. Hezbollah is not supposed to be on Israel's border, period, according to that resolution. The fact that Hezbollah reasserted control over the area that UNIFIL was supposed to ensure remained neutral, indeed that is the reason they claim to be there, exactly ONE DAY after the IDF withdrew, means they have not fulfilled their mandate and should not be present. They function as shields for Hezbollah. They can't even stop assassinations of journalists in their sector, as Lokman Sim was shot 4 times in the head on his way to meet a Lebanese general for lunch in the 'safe zone.' Israel has repeatedly condemned UNIFIL for allowing Hezbollah to radically rearm in territory that UNIFIL was mandated to ensure remain neutral, and indeed Hezbollah has one of the largest rocket artillery forces in the world. UNIFIL has attempted to stop IDF from intelligence gathering in the region, but at this point the IDF simply ignores them. In the 2010 war, started by Hezbollah crossing the border and taking hostages, UNIFIL published Israeli troop movements in Lebanon on their website. They did not do this for Hezbollah. UNIFIL troops helped two terrorists escape detainment in that same time period - by dressing up the terrorists as UNIFIL soldiers and helping them escape the IDF. And of course repeated and constant attacks against Israel have been launched from the area UNIFIL is supposed to control and keep neutral - again, the only reason they are supposed to be there.
Great, so now you're justifying attacks against UN peacekeepers, while lying repeatedly about what the UNIFIL mandate is. There really is no bottom.
Partial credit for honesty, I guess. I'd much rather they be open about their support of terrorism than insist on hiding behind that "think of the children" garbage.
