Diane Ladd died, who played "Flo" in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, might be a repost though. I thought she died a month ago, but it could be a different actress. Her death is reported as being yesterday. And yes, I know it was Polly something that originated the phrase. Ok, it was Diane Keaton that died last month not Ladd.
Interesting that Diane Ladd originated the role of Flo in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and then later played Belle, a similarly sassy character on the TV show Alice, which was based on the movie (and in which Polly Holiday played Flo).
The little girl at the counter in the last diner scene in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore is Laura Dern, Diane Ladd's daughter.
