Hopefully not. ICE’s tactics against peaceful observers and non-whites is tanking their reputation. Abolish ICE is now more popular than keeping it (though not over 50%…. yet, when ‘I don’t knows’ are included). Support for legal migration is at its highest level in years. Last thing we need is for the black bloc to bail ICE out.
I was reading commentary on how they really fucked up picking Minneapolis to try and do their shock and awe. Minnesota has the second highest level of public trust behind only Utah. Folks there know their neighbors, like their neighbors and are willing to work as a community to get stuff done. Which is why so many neighborhood observer groups formed almost overnight. The community networks were already there. But all Stephen Miller saw was a bunch of immigrant black people in a white state and figured the whites would turn on them.
I'm not sure it's ethical to wait until they've killed enough innocent people that government oversight becomes more politically palatable. Edit: Plus, I'm not suggesting people mask up. I'm suggesting they arm up and fight.
