No, it doesn't. That's about as generic an action movie trailer as you can get. However, the Mission Impossible films have been pretty great so this one gets the benefit of the doubt.
Really? I haven't seen a lot of movie stars hanging onto a real plane like that. The use of practical effects is incredible.
There are very few movies that can get me into a theater these days... Mission Impossible is one of them. No way I'm going to miss this one!
Looks like the latest Mission Impossible is going to have its ass handed to it at the box office by a cartoon remake.
I haven't been hearing good things about this movie other than it's better than the second one. This saddens me because I've really liked these movies. I feel like it did peak at Fallout.
Saw it. It was OK. I've seen and pretty much liked all the MI movies. Honestly, my favorite remains the first one because it was the truest to the TV show and the formula of "There's a MacGuffin, to get to it, stunts need to happen and Ethan goes rogue to make sure the MacGuffin gets to the right place" was fresh. If/when they do another one, I'll still go see it. Heck, I may see it again in theater now that I have AMC Stubs A-List. Paying $25 for up to 12 movies a month makes sense when a single movie ticket costs that anyway, and there are at least a couple movies I'd like to see this summer in theater -- Superman, Fantastic Four among them.
My son and I saw it in IMAX which was cool but the first half hour was rushed while the rest was drawn out. It should have just started with him in the US or somehow obtaining access to the aircraft carrier. And I didn't care much what choices Sloane was struggling with in Virginia. Also bummed that they didn't resolve the Gabriel and Marie history flashback. I understand they filmed the whole sequence and cut it. Finally, it lacked something that would make it a mission impossible film. Some deception or trickery just wasn't there. It wasn't clever. It was point A to point B.
