And this is exactly the issue. People just trying to live as themselves being berated, bullied, hated, legislated against, beaten, all for what? There's a reason depression and suicide is elevated amongst trans people. It's not because they're trans, it's because they're discriminated against for being trans. We saw the same thing with gay men back in the 1980s. This isn't anything new, and yet too many people think the problem is with the trans people, and not the governments stepping on them and their rights.
