Republicans admit that they don’t want to improve border situation because it will ‘help Biden’

I mean from a purely political viewpoint I get it. Their original plan was to run on inflation and Hunter Biden but both have fizzled. So now the border is all they have. They give that up and then what’s the election about? Trump, abortion and democracy? Not a good set of issues (for a Republican).

But as an American. Damn. How can we continue to function when an entire party has devolved into a personality cult where getting him elected is the beginning and end of their policy position?

And to just say it out loud? Talk about giving the game up. But I guess their base doesn’t care. They don’t REALLY care about the border so much as it is the best stick they have to hit Biden with and get the moderates to hold their nose at the Trump Chaos and vote to ‘secure the border.’

As long as Dear Leader gets back in office and enacts their retribution (his words) nothing else matters.

According to Sen Langford on Fox News Sunday the negotiators will have text this week on an immigration compromise.
