Yeah, but it's gay when you use it.

I heard several Democrats call him by his middle name to mock him and his perceived "upper-class, golf-course" upbringing.

So Barry has no reason to whine when people call him by his middle name.

Spiro Agnew set the tone long before that.

I always thought it would be cool to name a kid Nunzio:
because if you meet a middle aged construction worker named Nunzio,it seems pretty normal.

But a tiny baby named Nunzio would be funny as shit IMO.

I know, I'm probably preaching to the choir on this one.

Yes, and it's common practice to make fun of a candidate's name. Prolly goes all the way back to Adams and Jefferson. So mocking/attacking Obama's middle name is politics as usual.

Was the above something that wasn't covered in your high school or college level history classes?

That's pretty good KIRK, but you can stop sucking your own dick.

He mentioned the name business. That it was common to make fun of names. I was commenting on that.

And? My question still stands. Were these things not covered in your high school and college level history classes? I'm serious... :wtf: Name calling has been apart of the US political landscape for much of its history. The quote that I found was to at least give you an idea of some of the things that transpired. Apparently I can't be civil with you as is indicated here. Also it isn't my fault that you aren't more aware of US history and the history of US politics.

And come to think of it, I really doubt I would have learned about that particular bit of business in grades 1-12 of my school years.

But KIRK seems to think its some vital info that we all need to know. Well I say THANKS, man!

Good post. You don't always gotta be in attack mode. Aiiighhtt!!??!

I await the link to some early political 'name calling'. Ya know, where they actually make fun of the NAME.

    I wanna hear about that.

    So fucking what?

You want a gold star? :garamet:

And let me add that I learn a whole lot here. You posted a link. I went to it and read the whole thing. That's what we do here. Share information.

With Muad Dib's motivation, I have made a point to learn more about the Civil War over the past few years.

What kind of stuff would they use?

And if the fuhrer's name was Tim Hitler?

    Or how about John Zedong?

    Joe Stalin? Oh....wait.

But we shouldn't fight over this...why don't we just sit down talk about it over a cup o' tyrannical communist dictator.

True, but when there are standing orders at Obama's campaign headquarters for no one to mention his middle name, you gotta wonder.

Maybe he can change his name back to Barry Soetoro. The guy's had plenty of name changes to pick from.

So whats ya point? Many people don't use their middle name. I wouldn't let some other person tell me how my name is gonna be presented.

I've yet to see comments concerning any other candidate's middle name.

And I'm still waiting for KIRK and Bulldog to show some proof they mocked 'names' back in political campaigns in early 1800's (Jefferson and Adams).

Yes, mocking anyone's name is something we all learn about on the first day of school.

Turning it into :ohnoes: "HE'S A FILTHY MOOSLIM!!!!" :ohnoes: is a different level of childishness.

I think he should've had it legally changed to "Danger" a couple years ago. Because then this would not only be a non-issue, but then he could go: "Hi. I'm Barack Obama and 'Danger' is my middle name."

(I lobbied hard for Summer to give her new house-ape the middle name of "Danger".)

The terrorist label comes from his past association with a terrorist, not his middle name.
