The Happy News Thread!

Hi, everybody!
This is a thread I'm starting here for you all to share your happy news! Things may not look great right now, but there is still good news in this world! So what's a good thing that's happening in your life right now?

I'll start with this: I'm proud to announce I'm going to be an aunt for the second time in May of 2009! My brother and sister-in-law are expecting their second child!

Now, what's your good news?

Congratulations. I don't know if it's good news but it is news... My daughter is getting calls from boys.

Mine is too.....guess I'll have to use the pay-phone at the gas station since she's on the phone 24/7.

She's going to hurt herself running for the phone.

My girl is 12. How old is yours?

About to be 16. Actually she's now into spending time with boys too.
I don't need that drama!

Fortunately, at this age, the expectations for b/f, g/f seem to be limited to having lunch together and her taking his jacket when it's cold.

The thought of a 16 y/o scares me.

Happy news...

Well, we've set a wedding date.

I managed to get up today and survive the day without killing somebody. That's good news in fall, I promise.

It's raining...we have a serious drought here in Dixie! We need it!
And it might rain tomorrow....but on Monday (my fishing trip) it should be around 80 degrees and clear!

We are moving to a two bedroom, two bath apartment in a week.

Shit.

You're screwed.

Serious.

This coming from someone who is going through the whole 'deal with her dad first' ordeal right now.

...I turn 21 in 4 days.

The weather's great and I'll be flying VFR after dark this evening!

Hopefully I won't die . . .
