His stance is that releasing the files in an uncontrolled manner risks exposing victims and opening up sideline figures to salacious gossip in the press. Of course, he's also threatened black protestors with "I'll drop you where you stand" and implied that a civil war might have been necessary (before Trump got re-elected) so how trustworthy this angle is is worth debating.
Why are there not more copies of this thing that both sides have? Nevermind, I think I have my answer, because they are in charge. I am watching updates as the Republicans are trying to discredit Stacy Plaskett. It's ridiculous.
Yeah, there's no way Trump would seemingly flip on this unless he had a plan. As others have pointed out, he's publicly called for investigations into a bunch of lefties he claims were connected to Epstein, so a lot of stuff could be held back due to the "active investigation." It's all a fucking scam.
Power always protects power until it becomes an inevitable liability. Not to the people, the people are often easily conned because some of them have this absurd idea they're the ones with power, but to other arms of power that see opportunities to gain even more power. It's why JD Vance, despite being the Vice President to Trump, has nothing to worry about, but everyone around him does.
I was curious his reason as well. Here's his social media post... A poster replied with text from the third paragraph, "DOJ is permitted to withhold certain information such as the personal information of victims and materials that would jeopardize an active federal investigation." So my money is on him just being stupid and not reading it. Reminds me of a line from Fahrenheit 911 that I will never forget. "Son, we don't read most of the bills" - Representative John Conyers
We're only like a week away from him trying to pressure people to not vote for the release of the files and a few weeks away from the White House saying it would be seen as a “hostile act” to the president if Republicans support it Now he wants it released. Hmmm I feel we'll be shortly entering this phase of the Donald Trump scandal spectacle:
That makes me the second to last guy, then, but that's only because I created a 'No Earth Theory' for my sci-fi novel
She is so fucked.... First Epstein got her to stop chewing, then he clarified a name for her and ended it with "good job." All that was missing was her dog treat. Maybe she got that later.
I was curious of that too. What is the facility and how does he know that names are being scrubbed? Meanwhile back in reality... The real question is how many members of Congress were on the take with this guy?
Complete sidebar but I don’t like the fact that there are Americans who aren’t properly represented. Americans are Americans and we should all be equal. No taxation without representation right? We gotta Statize our territories and I honestly don’t know the best way to do it but we need to do it.
Say what you want about the French, and there is a lot to say, but folks in the DROM (départements et régions d'outre-mer) are legally speaking as French as someone from Metropolitan France. The United States doesn’t have that and I don’t like it.
Um...Epstein was a huge democrat donor who had regular conversations with major players in the democratic party even after being convicted. The Washington Post linked texts showing Epstein coaching a member of congress on the oversight committee at a hearing during a line of questioning. Thats a big deal like it or not. So as inconvenient as these facts are for team blue, yes both sides.
gosh none of what you just pointed out sounds illegal yes it 'looks' bad but it is not to my knowledge illegal to speak with or to listen to advice from slimeballs like epstein. i hope it is realized that everyone who works for or talks with trump is consorting with a convicted felon. now when you get to the pedophilia i do not care what 'party' they belong to NAIL EM.
Yes, both sides. But, to the Dems credit, most of them don't seem to care who gets outed, as long as they are exposed. Republicans seem to be vehemently opposed to it (until this week), and I genuinely wonder why. I mean, yes, Trump is all over it. But beyond that? Is Mike Johnson in it? Chip Roy? I seriously doubt any of these guys would have been important or rich enough to warrant Epstein’s attention. So what are they trying to hide? Just Trump?
They're protecting the whole concept of the billionaire class. Once we see how deep the rot goes, the "abolish billionaires" cries won't seem as "radical" to people.
Reassurance that incriminating evidence is withheld on the basis it's part of an ongoing investigation. Also the DOJ is the only means of enforcement. After the nothingburger this is bound to be, it'll die off.
