So it's looking increasingly likely the UK is going to be dumb enough to elect a Reform government in 2029. Perhaps selfishly my biggest concern about this is the fact their leader is vocally opposed to the NHS and makes no secret of his plans to scrap it (I point this out to his supporters and they don't care). So what happens to people with pre-existing health conditions that an insurer won't cover if he gets in?? Are they supposed to just die if they're not wealthy??

Well, there's a lot of time before 2029 and it's still the case that anyone who attempts to outright scrap the NHS (as opposed to death by a thousand cuts as has been happening) will face ferocious public opposition.

In Canada dismantling our health care system would be political suicide. Or, it has been in the past

In a world where Trump can get re-elected and people voting against their self interest, who knows these days though

Welcome to the United States. My brother in law had a heart attack, and was then handed a bill for $1.5 million dollars.
