My guess is that it's because Costco refused to eliminate their DEI initiative. A notable alternative explanation is that Costco recently raised its minimum pay rate to $30 per hour in California. My wildcard alternative explanation is that the rotisserie chickens are kept so cheap because they are actually alien creatures that Costco harvests.
I mean, funny, but not funny. I know they are going after all of the federal entities, I couldn't figure out why the cared about Costco specifically.
Like Fishy Worf said, Costco is one prominent exception to companies following the Trump directed trend of winding back DEI policies, and just reinforced that they are keeping theirs in the last couple of weeks with massive shareholder support. No dissent from leaders messaging can be allowed.
I'd expect nothing less from the guy who refused to raise the price of their hot dogs by saying to a board member "If you raise the price I will fucking kill you."
The Costco pizza isn't good, but I really enjoyed stopping by for a slice until we didn't bother renewing our membership.
I do enjoy my Costco membership. I actually like the pizza, and the hot dogs are good too. Head over on a Sunday afternoon and you can fill up on all the lithe free samples. Plus, they sell this: Which has made me a fan for life.
Maybe not, but the lack of "purity" doesn't invalidate the concept. Granted. So the practical recourse would be to evaluate each example on its merits, in my opinion.
No, not really. Arbitrary means: "based on or determined by individual preference or convenience rather than by necessity or the intrinsic nature of something" Intrinsic nature, in this situation, being the estimated market value. So, can you prove that the price of trucks in America is based on individual preference more so than in any other part of the world? How's the v price of a truck in the USA compared to, say, Britain, or Canada? Any proof at all to support your assertion? Even a bit?
Tarriffs and targeted regulations, leveraged to the advantage of domestic manufacturers, have nothing to do with the free market. I cannot make this fact clearer, and I'm done trying. You either understand or you don't.
Which makes no sense to your first post on this subject, about auto makers in America getting hurt by tariffs.
Hair raising phrases like "if Americans want to change their government, they have to get over their dictator-phobia". I bet if Fox said it, FF would go along. They want all school gone, and kids to be homeschooled and subject to whatever the parents deem fit. Have hopes and dreams that don't involve shoveling cow shit? Daddy wants you to shovel cow shit? Fuck your dreams, kid. Murca!!! UA's already on board for that shit.
Vlad (and Xi) must feel like a kind on Christmas morning every single day for the last couple of weeks.
If you want the freedom to meddle with their physiology "because feelings," they can shove religion and family business at them as well. It's both, or neither. To insist otherwise would be actual hypocrisy.
