History of the Nisei ‘Go For Broke’ WWII unit removed from Army website I know for a fact that if they were still alive, at least two of the WWII vets I've known would be busy trying to find out who was responsible for this so that they could give them an unholy beatdown.
I remember one of the chucklefucks on Fox in the early days of Obama whining (full FF pitch) "I'm tired of Republicans being called the party that wants to kill little old ladies! We're not! ". Now they're flat out calling elderly medical care communist. One black president, and one Nazi president make all the difference.
Fascinating read from the National Review: https://www.nationalreview.com/2025...der-targeting-perkins-coie-must-be-condemned/ Written by a man who is clearly a hardcore right-wing idealogue, it lays out how and where Trump's support is starting to crumble. It turns out that for a lot of people, even those on the right, there isn't an appetite for unilateral control. He actually calls Congressional Republicans "toadies" for Trump. He highlights Trump's legal hypocrisy, while at the same time tearing down Dems over the BLM and Gaza protests. It's a shining example of why I view Republicans like him differently from someone like FF or UA, because there are right-wing people who see what is happening and are sickened by it. I knew my mother wasn't the only one, but it is heartening to see it not only from a staunch conservative, but published in one of the most conservative news organizations in this country.
Trump's going to call them globalist, or communist, or "failed" or some fucking thing. Then he's going to have some covefe.
Umm, I think the "tax on couches" line gives away that it's a parody... if "no school lunches to unemployed minors" didn't.
What isn't he doing right now that he wants to do? Seriously? By conceding this bill, Trump was given more power to override the Senate and the House, and Republicans have already said they're going to use this again because it actually worked. If the plan is "fail miserably while giving more power to a fascist," then yeah, Chuck Schumer's right on top of his game. Not so much for the rest of us, though.
Not sure how you'd know the difference. Literally the day after he issues another screed effectively killing seven more agencies.
GOP lawmaker booed at North Carolina town hall, escorted from building "How do you justify cuts to the VA?" demanded one angry constituent.
This energy needs to be maintained. Right now, the disabled, veterans, millions of people throughout the US are about to lose any real support network they have because Musk and Trump *are* working to gut Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, VA benefits, and everything else. They are robbing the treasury blind, and right out in the open. I'm honestly surprised the mainstream news actually mentioned this because who wants to offend Der Fuhrer and Honky Ford?
Minnesota GOP have introduced legislation to make Trump Derangement Syndrome an actual mental illness, which would of course let them do all sorts of fascist shit to "sufferers". https://www.newsweek.com/minnesota-...p-derangement-syndrome-mental-illness-2045600
I'm posting this in here because it's not just for trans folks this time. Anyone who is on the LGBTQ+ spectrum is affected. Germany, InterPride Issue LGBTQ Travel Advisories About United States At least one foreign LGBTQ rights group has already pulled out of WorldPride to “safeguard our trans and nonbinary staff” from persecution by the U.S. government.
