Yep, though I've never tried it with hot sauce and now I'm curious. Stouffer's is close to how my lasagna tastes when I make it, so if I can catch it on sale and save myself a lot of prep work, I'm going to take it.
Remembering being in the field and handed a lasagne MRE. Shudders. Nearly vomits. Thanks @shootER for bringing up unpleasant memories.
Ooh! I had one of those once! A friend of a relative, many years ago, was a prepper, and gave us a few MREs. One of them was lasagna, and I got to try it. I can still taste it, and it's not a pleasant memory. lol That said, the Salisbury steak was delicious! Also, I'm assuming that's what the brown blob I ate was. I hope it was.
Last night's dinner: stuffed a chicken breast with some sundried tomatoes, rubbed some of the olive oil the toms were in over the top, sprinkled the chicken with basil, salt and black pepper then wrapped in foil and steamed for 30min. Served with couscous. Then ate a bunch of snacks later to soak up the
Continued work on a project with the owner of a restaurant and had time for lunch there before I left. For once he let me pay.
Cooked enough fried chicken to have leftovers for the next couple of days. Served with more Bob Evans mashed potatoes.
Cooked turkey burgers because my wife likes them. Made them with chopped shallots, cilantro, and various seasonings mixed into the meat. Served on brioche buns with sweet potato tots.
Went to Easter lunch at my best friend's house. Among the food we took were lamb ribs. They were a huge hit. I prefer smoking a leg of lamb (or a half-leg of lamb) for Easter but ribs are super fast to cook.
Hit up my favorite Mexican/barbecue place for lunch. Brisket taco with guacamole and pico. So damn good.
Oh good lord that looks amazing. That said, I'm having a Tony's four cheese pizza, which is just now coming out of the oven, and it's all mine (I'll share anyway).
Wow...these latest food efforts look terrific. Had something new tonight. Lemon & garlic salmon encrusted with pistachios. Wasn't sure how I'd like it but I ate it all.
I seriously need to get that Costco membership. Anyhoo, I'm having a delicious dill pickle. This one's from a company called Crisp, and they donate part of their proceeds to ALS, which is an extra good reason to buy their pickles, and they are so damn good. These are the garlic dill variety, my favorite, and they're so crunchy it's almost obscene.
Unless you’re shopping for a large family, it’s not worth it. You can get the same stuff at Aldi’s. Just gotta remember to take cash, cuz, last I shopped there, they didn’t take cards. I used to shop at Sam’s, prior to leaving my ex husband. After I left, I went to Costco a couple times with my cousin. Good prices, but unless you eat like a horse, the food will go bad before you can consume it.
That's what freezers are for. Plus, you can buy in quantities at Costco that don't come on a pallet. It's usually just my wife and I at home. We don't pig out and we don't have to throw away food. She also fuels her car almost exclusively at Costco because the prices are lower.
I had to work city elections today, getting video of several polling places. I planned my polling place journey to start near my house in the morning and finish around midday near one of the locations for my favorite burger place. $11 gets you a drink, fresh-cut fries, and a damn good cheeseburger. For a dollar more they'll make it double meat, double cheese but that one is so big I can't function effectively after eating it.
I just had a couple Banquet breaded chicken fingers and a handful of Red Robin frozen steak fries. I didn’t take a pic. :-(
It's a rainy, dreary day here so I wanted some comfort food for lunch. Cheese enchiladas. A couple of years ago I did a story and got video at this restaurant for it. Since then, about every third visit, the manager doesn't let me pay for my meal.
Funny. I was just speaking with my sister in east Texas and she mentioned it’s a dreary rainy day when I told I had to hang up and go for a walk.
That looks amazing and sounds interesting. @Jenee funny when that happens. I had to work late so I am scarfing down some good ol Mac and cheese. Its the "Private Collection" brand from QFC or Fred Meyer and the kind I had tonight is "Wisconsin 5 cheese blend" its so rich, its almost too much, but I love it. Then I am going to make cookies for a pot luck tomorrow. Which I loathe, but I go to anyways.
For Mothers Day I cooked for my wife, my mother-in-law, her three sisters, and my oldest daughter and her boyfriend. Boneless chicken thighs. Boneless chicken thighs marinated in soy sauce and sesame oil. Top sirloin.
I just ate and you make me hungry every time. That's some damn good photography. I just finished eating a Newman's Own pepperoni pizza. First time I'd ever had Newman's Own pizza, and I have to say it was very good! It was marked down to $5 but I didn't ask why, and bought it, only took 12 minutes to bake (with an extra 2 to broil because melty, burny cheeeeeese). It had a very nice cheese aroma, I could taste the sauce and it was tangy and zippy, the pepperoni was crunchy and flavorful without too much salt. All in all, I'd definitely buy it again. Plus, all the proceeds go to kids! That's a win/win, IMO.
I am eating a chipotle black bean burger with cheese and a spinach salad with strawberries and peaches drizzled with balsamic and olive oil. AND I made an ice drink with coconut, ginger, peach and strawberry. AND I am watching the Saturday Night Network's interview with Fred Armison.
My wife was in the mood for some pasta Bolognese and since the mom and since Friday rush hour traffic would've made it a long trip to go to the mom and pop places we normally patronize, we went to Maggiano's for the first time in years. For a chain, they're not bad at all and make a great chicken marsala.
