Have we been hacked and it might take a few days to sort out? Did the monthly hosting bill bounce? Did someone post pictures of Ancalagon downing appletinis and he deleted the whole thing forever? I don't know. But I do know there's a Wordforge Facebook account. Well, that doesn't help. I don't touch Facebook any more than I can help, and I don't connect RL and online any more than I can help either. But I also know there's a Wordforge twitter account. So let's see what the latest post is there. Maybe there's an announcement. That is sad but not helpful. Could people please post an explanation to Twitter whenever the board is down for, say, more than a day? Make a separate official account for maintenance matters if you like.
Well, obviously it's working now or I couldn't post. But I've gone through the OP scenario a few times and it's frustrating that there isn't an alternate place to find out what's going on.
Seriously. Just take a minute to post a couple lines on the Twitter account "Here's what the problem is, someone is/will be working on it. Hopefully we're back up in X days/hours." Just to let me know someone's on the ball and there wasn't a total meltdown while I was elsewhere. It'd be appreciated.
There needs to be either an official Wordforge FB page or Twitter page. A Twitter page would probably be best, since one could follow that without it being connected to your account or where others can see you're a member of Wordforge itself.
If somebody wants to start one, feel free. I won’t be doing it because I’ve already got too many Twitter accounts to manage.
