Just had my best match ever!! 23-6!! With the Hardline Perk, I lucked up and got a Pave Low in a care package!! That gave me about 8 extra kills! But even without that, I had a great match!!

I feel like I got the hang of Multiplayer now. I've had a few days if vacation and I decided to have an MW2 marathon. I'm moving up in rank very fast and I've unlocked some cool perks and attachments.

I've switched from Hardline to Stopping Power. Once I unlocked FMJ, it was just natural. I've been killing about 12-18 a match while dying only 8-12 times a match. My accuracy is up to around 11% now too! Just a few minutes ago, I got a 17 killstreak! I got my first AC130!!! Won't be long before I'm nuking assholes from space!!

Also, after almost 2 months, I decided to play the single player mission again on the veteran setting. This is such an exhilarating game. Great story. I think Whiskey Hotel remains my favorite mission follwed by... Shit, I don't know. This is an awesome game.

Not bad last night although I thought I did pretty crap on wasteland.

Partly caused by my attempt at using a bluetooth headset, then realising that nobody else was and trying to shut the thing off while the game progressed.

FWIW my 5 kill streak is a sentry gun. One of those plonked in the right place is a massacre.

I was pretty geeked last night when I saw you on. Glad you could join me for a bit! I thought you did quite well!

I've been using the AUG HBAR SMG blinged out with the Grip and FMJ. Stopping Power and Commando. I noticed that the lack of kickback makes for a more accurate shot when shooting long distances.

I've been mostly using the SCAR with the M203, and using a stinger as my secondary weapon.

My primary "grenade" is a claymore, and my secondary a couple of flashbangs.

about the only level where I use a different setup is Derail, where I use a barrett / aa-12 combo.

I had very little doubt this would happen, but here it is. Modern Warfare 2 tops $1B!! I believe it is just a matter of time before a video game beats Titanic/Avatar in total gross. Mark my words.

Activision Blizzard: 'Call of Duty' has made $1B

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) - Video game publisher Activision Blizzard Inc. said Wednesday that the game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" has brought in more than $1 billion in revenue since it went on sale in November.

Given that pace, the game is on track to become the best selling video game ever by number of copies sold, said Michael Pachter, an analyst at Wedbush Morgan.

Based on the revenue figure, Pachter said the company has probably shipped about 17 million copies of the game so far. And he expects it to surpass the roughly 23 million copies sold of "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," which was released in 2004 and holds the previous record.

"Call of Duty" has an edge because of its online multi-player mode. New updates to the online version can give titles a longer shelf life.

Still, Pachter said he doesn't expect Activision's fourth-quarter financial results to surpass expectations. "They're not killing it, but they're making it," he said.

While "Call of Duty" sales are "impressive," titles such as "Guitar Hero" have been lackluster.

Others in the video game industry have given indications of weak holiday sales. Rival Electronic Arts Inc. this week slashed its 2009 earnings estimate for the second time. GameStop Corp., the world's biggest video game retailer, said sales during the shopping season dropped 8.6 percent from the year before.

Activision shares rose 6 cents to $10.83 in afternoon trading.

Could happen. Avatar is currently at about 990m in profits. MW2 is about 750m. Wouldn't be a shocker to see either one making more money in the long run.

Interesting set to note however:

Guitar Hero III has profits so far of 2 billion.

World of Warcraft makes about 100 million in profits a month. It's been out since 2004 and doesn't show much sign of slowing down.

Of course, Vivendi is running the shop for all 3 of those games...
