I'm too lazy to go back and check the original post but IIRC, that's not what the articvle says. it says she complained publicly that she was not given the opportunity to pull her own child, NOT that she called for the scene to not have been shown to any child.

What makes her part in this questionable is not "forcing her beliefs" on anyone...it's assuming that every section of the film is as bad as the "bad parts" she read about.

IMO - and what i would have done - the FIRST step is to get a copy of the film and see what she saw and THEN comment.

So I'm NOT just standing in defense of the woman, she is out of line - but she is not, so far as the story reads, trying to deal with anything but what her own child sees which is a legitimatye area of interest for her.

Despite BD's jumping to sterotypical conclusions.

She sends her kid to a state school. So, de facto, she accepts what the kids get shown.
Otherwise she can home school or go private. Then she gets input into the curriculum.

Out of curiosity, when that Pennsylvania district was challenged in court for making the "Intelligent Design" comment, or that one in Georgia was challanged about the textbook labels...were you arguing THEN that those parents should "de facto accept" what the school offered, or either go to private or homeschooling?
