I can kinda sorta see the logic of refusing to believe 10,000 year advanced aliens wouldn't settle for acrobat tights as fashion, so it has to look like tech.
BUT...10,000 year advanced aliens might come full circle, and make a tech suit look like regular circus tights.
Which...is exactly what the "Greatest American Hero" suit was.
