But, as I recall, it was something tying communism to Chernobyl and I asked a rhetorical question regarding the relationship between the disaster and communism. So much for Elon's "if you don't sleep at the office, you're not working hard enough" bullshit.

I would really like to be mad at Tesla, but this is just how things tend to work. many years back I knew people who did things like that in GM's terrytown plant. My father worked there and people did shit like that to avoid layoffs. Ross Perot came in with EDS and laid off many of them just like that.

I worked for Pepsico. They promoted a guy to their IT department so he could get a higher salary on retirement, and then laid him off right before Christmas when they outsourced their IT to IBM killing his retirement benefits. When he begged for his old job back just so he could finish out the couple of years until his retirement at his old salary they told him to fuck off. After witnessing the bloodbath they had a lot of people walk out and not come back, so Pepsi actually offered to buy me out of my contract if I would work for their IT staff. They tried to tell me I would be fine when IBM came in.

Elon did not make this, and he is not even the worst at it. Tesla has decades of abusive layoff horrors to do before they come close to american car manufactures and american companies.
