Aren't you just the cutest little troll? :headpat: Dishonestly pretending boycott can't work in 2024 by referencing events from half a century ago.
He has to get off somehow. He is a nobody in the middle of nebraska who's biggest accomplishment is having a jeep and banging the last girl left at the bar who really likes the stank of him. Not serving you at his imaginary restaurant is probably a pretty big fantasy for Uncle Walter Mitty.
Ah yes, doubling down that businesses should be able to put those signs back up, masterful gambit sir.
Yeah, anyone who thinks we could never slide back into institutionalized racism and bigotry has not been paying attention since 2016. I used to think it wasn't possible, until I saw all the mouth breathers cruel put of the woodwork as soon as they had the A-OK from the top to just let their worst selves show.
And I'll have more fucks to give when the same rules apply where white people are overtly and explicitly excluded, where Asians have to file lawsuits to get fair treatment in college admissions. Either superficial discrimination is acceptable or it fucking isn't.
Clearly such discrimination was far from superficial. And I don't think "no whites allowed" should be an acceptable sign to put on a restaurant either.
I always knew they could ooze out of the woodwork, I just didn't think we'd get a Trump in my lifetime.
That's not the point. Either it was wrong to create the laws against it then, or it wasn't. Your argument seems to be that the US governments overstepped in doing so.
I grew up being really good friends with the only black people in my NY suburbs. We were at the edge of commuter territory where no black people could really afford to live and commute to the city. Just a thread of them existed in our suburbs, and because one of the only people who had the courage to like me in high school was basically our school's fresh price I ended up going to a lot of the events for the thread of family in our area. They never bitched and complained about how they were treated to me. My friend never fully told me what was going on. I saw things later on, and realized while I was with him the police, who we did have some contact with, were different as long as he was with me. The internet showed me a lot of what was going on, and when I asked him he just said it was life and there was no reason to bring it into our relationship as friends. He was making the best of a good time and hoping things would not go bad. I really thought racism was beat in my area because no one seemed bothered by him, but I realized it was just hiding and stabbing him in stealth. He did not know who his enemies were. Years later, my grandmother, who was one of his teachers talked about how she was so nice to one of those people because a racist like her felt benevolent when there was only one and it was no threat. Later on the school had gone to hell in her opinion because it was not just one anymore, and black children had become much more common in the schools I grew up in and she taught in. The shit was always around, and many of the bigots were quiet because they figured we would all find out the error of our ways and turn things around. The communities didn't and now the bigots are rising up and being noticed again for multiple reasons. The fight is not over, and black people are not my enemy.
Is goal post shifting a bait and switch? Either way it is UA so you do have a poorly thought out incomplete gotcha coming your way because that is all he has.
Marvel didn't want a white Black Panther, or some shit, so therefore replacement theory. Or some bullshit like that.
