Hi all After few minutes, I'll be 24. I've no resolutions for new year. I want you guys to suggest me.
What if they conflict? For instance a couple (or actually more than a couple ) of my To-Dos don't really go well with another To-Do, 'Avoid Federal Pound-Me-In-The-Ass Prison'.
No, but I've been arrested in three foreign countries. Malaysia, Germany, and the UK. And anal, do anal before 25.
Some caveats: Do NOT try to figure out what you want to do with your life; just what you want to do and be next, then go ahead with that. Do NOT think other people are waiting for you to fail, or make a fool of yourself. They're all much too busy with themselves, and you're not that interesting to them, yet. Once you are, failure and foolery will be ok. Do NOT think he or she's out of reach; they're really not. Do NOT write a bucket list of any kind. Rename this list, Things to Consider Doing If I Want To At the Time. Also, happy birthday, and welcome to Wordforge!
And.... Do NOT allow yourself from being who you are simply because what someone else might think. Changing who you are for someone else basically lets them tell you "You are not good enough for me.".
Waste the next 10 years on the computer and then act grouchy when someone - who will end up not appreciating his youth - posts a thread about what to do before his next birthday.
Don't wait hoping that things will be better, or that there's a future chance of you getting the time to explore life. It's not going to happen. Either do it now, or forget about ever doing it. The longer you wait, the more of your youth will be eaten up for no reason, and you can't get it back. If you're worried about money, fuck it. You can always make more money, but you can't get your lost years back. Anyone who says "good things come to those who wait" is full of bullshit.
The best advice I can give is go and read John Castle's diary in the Blue Room and then don't do anything that he's done.
Well, I wanted to go out on a date, kiss a girl, have a girlfriend by then. But that did not happen for another year. And in truth by the time I was 24 I had largely given up on those thoughts anyway.
I had my first girlfriend at 7. She was 8. We both shared our first kiss. I was totally into older women.
Yeah, I think most people cover that by the time they're 16 but I guess it just took Dayton a decade longer than everyone else. No surprise there.
What... you never thought about sex? Wait. It's you. Never mind. Hmm... let's see. First girlfriend when I was 7-8 years old, kissed her too. If you want to consider a real kiss, then I guess 12, which is when I first got laid. She was 13, lived a few doors down, would come over pretty much everyday. We'd go swimming in our pool, hang out, etc.. I probably had more sex by the time I was 24 than you've had your entire life. And I would suspect the same is true for a large amount of WFer's. Dude... you just changed my entire philosophy and life. Oh wait... I'm already there.
Thought about it? Sure And I did make various inquiries regarding dating about half a dozen girls from when I was in high school, through college, and then subsequently. But after a while I was starting to think that perhaps that was not meant to be part of my life.
I know it sounds stupid. According to a magazine article about relationships during that time "Nobody asks for dates anymore". But I was kind of between the two eras. Between the era where people "asked for dates" and the "hooking up" era. That said, one factor was probably that I had no female friends and that probably was a major hindrance.
