He's apparently "married" in the newestimate debacle. You know nu-Spock, who really is a starting WR, approves!
Disgusting homophobia. Grow up manchildren. Those of us the live in the big boys' world where things actually happen aren't afraid of gay people.
Okay. I mean, Spock/Uruha broke the Internet and half tell fandom thinks Abrams has bent Trek over like a drugged sorority sister at a Cosby party as it is. Insisting Sulu stay straight over one of Trek's many "blink and you miss it" canon bits is the kind of shit that led to the reboot to begin with.
Takei is....kinda miffed... http://spinoff.comicbookresources.c...y-doesnt-honor-roddenberrys-star-trek-vision/
Takei should be flattered. The actor is so strongly identified with the character, that the character is taking on the actor's attributes. As for "Roddenberry's vision," I don't think Sulu's sexuality came up all that often. The only instance that comes to mind is Mirror-Sulu hitting on Uhura. But that's in a universe where everyone's opposite, so naturally Mirror-Sulu would be a pussy hound.
So, by that logic, it occurs to me that Mirror-Kirk would be the gayest thing since gay went to gaytown. He was only hanging with Marla to raid her wardrobe.
Everyone wasn't opposite though in the mirror-universe. The Halkan civilization was the same as in the regular universe. Also in later series the Klingons, Cardassians, and Romulans were still the bastards as we knew them in the regular universe.
@Goldstein the Fake Jew You should learn to be more tolerant of other faiths. Some faiths have a rich tradition of persecuting homosexuals.
Mirror Universe Kira swung both ways, and lezzed out with Erzi Dax. Your point is invalid. The next reboot of TOS may as well just bring on the Kirk/Spock slash and break the Internet
