In part I blame fashion, and with it models and photoshoppers. But mostly I blame the society that wants these things. These things always come down to supply and demand. What perfection is, and how important attaining that perfection is, is mainly the fault of the demand side.
Yeah, but people want this shit just because they're told. All you have to do is go "you want this". "I do?". "Yeah, everyone else does". "Really?". "Yep. "Okay *shrug*". That's how underarm deodorant and women's shavers were introduced. Despite that they were just invented, advertisers were like "yeah, we're doing this now, get the fuck on board". "Duhr, okay".
Underarm deodorant is important. I learned that the hard way. Went without once because I ran out. Got reprimanded for doing so. By a girl. Who was naked and laying under me. On topic... The picture in the OP makes her look a little chunky, a slight deviation from the cheerleader prototype. But she's still better looking than 95% of women her age.
But here's the rub (no pun intended) with hot, curvy, normal ladies: it's the women themselves who are obsessed with being "perfect!" If 1,000 men tell some women they look great as they are, they still don't believe they measure up to the "standard" of beauty. Trust us, ladies! We are the ones who want to bone you! The fashion industry doesn't want to bone you, especially most of the men.
The cheerleader is waaaay better looking than the blogger, who's picture you can find with some simple googling.
