Is anyone planning to play this game here? I haven't been this excited for a gme in a long time. I'll be playing on PS4 and I'm actually thinking of picking it up on Xbox One too. I'm discovering that co-operative game play with online friends are my favorite type of games and this is Destiny main game mode.
Doubtful. I was a big halo fan for 1-3, but I don't really want to bust out a console and pay 60 dollars for a game I barely have time to play I have more than enough games to play on my PC.
Great game so far! It's kind of like Halo and Mass Effect did it MMO style and had a baby in the Thundaar The Barbarian Universe. I'm a little disappointed that after playing for 5 hours, I've reached half of the level cap.
Not really interested, maybe pick it up someday if it ever goes on sale, but doubtful. I made the mistake of grabbing Titanfall due to all the hype. If you suck at them or get bored with them, no amount of hype is going to keep you interested in an FPS...even if you import things MMOs have had for over a decade. /goes back to "season" Barbarian in Diablo 3.
My Youngest picked this one up for himself last night. Based on the visual pretties from the commercial, I may have to give it a try....
has that MMO levelcapped weapon BS, I just started, picked the revolver, hated it, so now I'm stuck with it until I reach a higher level
From the makers of Run-and-Gun FPS #129 and Run-and-Gun FPS #392 comes: Run-and-Gun FPS . . . In Space! That about the size of it?
Reviews haven't been great for this game. I've heard it's small, not enough variety, and not enough loot. I've heard the base shooting is good, because it's a Bungie game and the base shooting BETTER be good, but it sounds like everything surrounding it breaks down.
It's short on variety, that's for sure, but it is fun. I think the reviewers were a little too harsh. Metacritic has it at 6.5 or so. I'd go around 7.5-8.0. The bottom line is that it is repetitive and the only reason to keep playing the game is the loot grind, and that is tragically flawed at the moment. Bungie promised to patch that and it shold go live today. I'll let you all know. It has been the target of DDoS attacks, but your problems could be something different, BurgerKing. My connections have been smooth.
it may be my router, but if it's a router issue it's VERY inconsistant and crash-y. I'm worried it may harm my x-box because I'll either get the hawk error and suffer a hard crash or my connection to XBL will just drop out alltogether and not reconnect until I go to the test network connection screen, even if I shut the 360 off first. Since searching the various errors, "Hawk" and "caterpillar" being the most frequent, on bungie.net only say to re-start the game and if it continues that bungie is workin' on it, I can't say for sure if it's my router. I'm gonna try renting Destiny for the PS3 and see if I have the same problems.
Well... it's been 5 months and I'm still playing Destiny. The game has changed a little bit for me now. My primary goal is now to complete the raids... and grinding up to get my character strong enough to do that. I complete the Daily Heroic Mission, then the Weekly Heroic Strike and then the Weekly Nightfal Strike and most of my time from there is attempting the Raid with 5 other friends. I just completed the Crota's End Raid for the first time after about 3 weeks of attempts and it's quite a rush. Next will be a Hard mode attempt.
