Then it would have behooved him to pay heed to the multiple warnings we were giving him to knock it off in the Red Room. We gave him ample warning. Messages, posts, you can even go into the Violet Room thread in the HD and see where I kept tagging him on purpose in order to get his attention. Yet he still continued. While the Red Room is a lightly moderated place, it's still moderated, and he clearly decided not to give a damn.
The only thing more disgusting than reading gturner posts is reading some smarmy asshole gloat about how he's censored some other asshole he doesn't approve of by relegating them to the kindergarten (as if this place being like high school isn't enough).

He's not censored, he's just where he can't fill up the rest of the board. He can still post in the Violet Room.

Yes, him sending a PM to Dinner lying about being banned certainly implies he's more aware than he lets on.
Correct. He can read the rest of the board, like normal, but he can only start threads and post in the Violet Room.
We don't have an exhaustive set of rules. He was dominating the board with spam and propaganda, he was told many times, publicly, that it needed to stop. We announced that there was a new room where people engaging in such behavior could go. Now that's his home for now. Not going to play legalistic games on this. He has been intentionally disruptive for the entire time he's been here, this is an effort to address that without resorting to banning.
What @gul said. We're not lawyer balling here. He was warned repeatedly to stop spamming the board and derailing every Red Room thread he posted in, which he almost always did. Like I said earlier, he had to work his ass off to get tossed in there, and even when given ultimatums, messaged, and repeatedly notified that he was going over the line, he kept at it, not even stopping once he was relegated to the Violet Room, immediately using the PM system to continue where he left off.
As antithetical I am to @gturner's views, I do think his posts have been instrumental in generating debate. And your line about no "exhaustive" rules suggests that he's not in violation of anything specific. So I find this decision highly suspect.
So another one banned (or effectively so, anyway) for nothing cuz he's not one of the Kewl Kidz. Great track record you guys have going here.
While I don't disagree with this, the biggest impediment to debate was @gturner himself after that first post. The simple fact is he was fairly interesting when he decided not to crap all over the place. But those instances were few and far between, and just not worth putting up with all the other BS.
We knew this kind of thing would be coming not long after the new section was announced. You don't create a board to cage and hide away members if you don't already have someone in mind for it.
He's limited to one forum until he shows he can be something more than a troll who derails threads. If anything, Wordforge has been patient with him. He was banned from TBBS exactly for this shtick, but we let him continue to post here unfettered until he got worse with the derailing, and the spamming. He was asked to stop the excessive spamming, he didn't. He was asked to stop derailing threads, it only encouraged him to derail more. When we warned him the other day to stop, he ignored it. When I tagged him in the Violet Room HD thread so he could see what would happen if he didn't stop, he didn't bother to respond. So when he was finally warned for the last time, and ignored it, he got locked in the Violet Room. Immediately, he set to using the PM system to continue his bullshit. He has no intention of being anything other than someone who exists here to disrupt everything, and to shit on everyone's parade. Look how long it took for it to finally happen.
I would hope you would know, because I explicitly stated it several times over in the Violet Room threads, and it's in the rules that way. There's nothing "suspect" about it. Like I said above, I tagged him in every post where I wanted him to see what would happen if he didn't stop. There's no skullduggery here. If anything, I've been blatantly open about all of it.
