http://www.espn.com/espnw/sports/ar...e-girls-wrestling-title?addata=espn:frontpage Any other girl who would have been found to be hopped up on testosterone would have been disqualified for doping. Testosterone certainly gets you kicked out of the Olympics. Seems all you have to do to get around this is claim to be a boy trapped in girl's body, and voila! Testosterone is cool! The parents of this kid should have insisted she/he withdraw from the competition rather than taint the tournament and win a title that will forever have an asterisk next to it in the record books.
Maybe the parents of the girls in the tournament who weren't bulked up on testosterone. Maybe those parents would have liked for their daughters to have had a fair shot at the championship. But the rights of those girls are inconsequential to SJW douchebags like you.
This is what the army is soon to be dealing with. They are already initiating a 78 page long class to be taught to all leaders (more classes to follow no doubt for all army members) about dealing with transexual/transitioning transexual soldiers. Of course the subject of PT test scoring/body fat/weight is a huge concern! The PT test is not just a simple go/no go or pass/fail situation. Your athletic performance affects your promotion score - if you still have a man's body structure but are competing against females you have greater lung capacity (2 mile run) and upper body strength (push ups) from the many years you did have a male level of testosterone - of course you will get a maximum score and thus more promotion points. And I'm not even getting into the science behind gender and body fat percentage which is literally a career ender, and could work for or against a soldier depending on what gender they are switching to or from. This is way more complicated than sexual preference. It will be interesting how this will all play out.
The Navy seem to have done fine with this sailor: http://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/first-openly-transgender-service-member-promoted-n648366 He served on a submarine in 2011 as male, so I'm assuming this wasn't something that happened after joining active duty. He has the same dedication to fitness of most Lt. Commanders I've run into
The rule mandating use of the gender on the birth certificate is in place to prevent this kind of fraud. Rather than relying on some ephemeral criteria such as "identity," you go with biological gender at birth. The kids is a girl. She was rightly required to participate in the girls's tournament. However, since she was doped up on testosterone, the appropriate response from the high school sports regulatory body should have been to disqualify her. The testosterone treatments were not part of some life-saving medical treatment regimen. It'a highly controversial elective treatment to create cosmetic changes. If she were receiving steroids because she was undergoing chemo for leukemia, that's a different matter.
Front page on wapo too. Almost as interesting is the new motto under their banner. Oh, and flashy, there is nothing "right" about requiring him to participate as a girl, unless you mean right-wing fundy.
So, if she no longer wants to "identify" as female, then she should have withdrawn from the tournament in protest. Rather than compete with the girls despite the fact she no longer considers herself a girl, sit out in protest of Texas' refusal to legitimize her "identify" preference. A roided-out he/she beast dominating the rest of the girls doesn't prove anything.
Yes, and it ends up causing it, just like the new transphobic bathroom bills will force men to use women's rooms. That's what happens when you try to legislate on the basis of denying reality.
Seeing as Flashlight seems to think she is qualified to assign genders to people, I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to do the same. I've decided I'm going to refer to her using female pronouns from now on.
This child's gender was "assigned" at birth. No matter how much testosterone she injects or how much surgery she gets to mutilate her body, she will always be female. She may spend the rest of her life dressing like a male, but she'll never be one. Period. Similar to the beta cuck libtards infesting this site. The psychiatric profession's decision to enable this type of delusion is a travesty. Similar to the freak in Britain dubbed the "human Ken Doll," who now can't breathe properly after his 51 plastic surgeries to try and look like Justin Bieber - just because something is legal doesn't mean it's not a sign of severe mental illness.
This is a complete fraud. You have a factually speaking male not a woman beating women. Duh, men are stronger on average.
He should have been allowed to wrestle the guys. He should have moved to Oklahoma. There is just Wrestling here. There are girl leagues, but I've known a couple of female wrestlers who just wrestle on the school team and hit girls tournaments around the country on the weekends.
51 surgeries to look like Justin Bieber? I don't even think Justin Bieber wants to look like Justin Bieber that bad!
This story is about a trans boy who was born female and was forced to wrestle with females, despite all the hormones to be a man. Given your previous sentiments on transgender folk, I thought I'd clear that up for you.
Or she could have done what @The Flashlight suggested and not wrestled because, you know, it's not fair to the other girls. Nobody forced her to do anything.
You don't expect fairness to mean anything to Team Trannie, do you? Screw other girls out of a chance to win a championship just a make a political point. That's what's important to the modern day Regressive. Her "identity" as a male became expendable when it came time to win a wrestling tournament. Kinda like how Rachel Dolezol was "black," until it was time to sue her employer for discrimination based on the fact that she is white.
Kinda like how Rachel Dolezol was "black," until it was time to sue her employer for discrimination based on the fact that she is white. - The Flashlight Shhhhhh! Quiet - I already got jumped on for daring to call her on her bullshit delusional facade.
In a rational world, this person would have to either: 1. Be disqualified from competing on the girls' team on account of steroid use; or 2. Compete on the boys' team. This is completely unfair to the girls in the sport, and it's also hypocrisy: "I am the gender I identify with---except when it gives me an advantage."
