What I think is interesting is the fact that nobody wants ownership of the GOP's healthcare bill. Trump says, "Don't call it Trumpcare", and Ryan definitely doesn't want it called Ryancare.
It's almost as if no politician wrote the GOP healthcare bill, and it was actually written by lobbyists.
It's a general response, but perhaps I should have included this. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/mar/23/nancy-pelosi-trump-made-rookies-error-health-care-/ Coming from someone who said this.
I won't listen to the clip, but what do you find offensive about the article you linked? House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday said President Trump made a major blunder by pushing to repeal and replace Obamacare on the anniversary of the overhaul’s passage, saying it’s unwise to pick a day and then hope the support is there in time. “Rookie’s error, Donald Trump,” Mrs. Pelosi, California Democrat, said at her weekly press briefing. Mr. Trump and GOP leaders are reaching for a highlight-reel vote to gut the Affordable Care Act on the House floor late Thursday — seven years to the day after President Obama signed his legacy overhaul into law. Yet they’re still trying to cobble together enough votes for the plan, as conservatives push to kill a bigger chunk of the law and centrists balk at a plan that’s estimated to result in 24 million fewer Americans holding insurance a decade from now. Mrs. Pelosi argued it’s Legislating 101 to get folks on board before you reach for a political prize. “You don’t find a day and say we’re gonna pass a bill,” she said.
She fucking rammed it through the House in the middle of the night, fuck her. You LOST, shut up and go away!
Yeah, like how the Republicans dried up, crumbled into powder, and blew away after Obama was elected. Remember when that happened? It was so gracious and classy of them. And totally within the bounds of human nature, and the laws of physics. Not imaginary at all. Nor delusional. Nosiree.
Looking like this might not go through today. HFC wants complete gutting of Obamacare, moderates jumping as package shifts right. CNN's current tally is 25 committed nos and 4 leaning nos.
I don't think the GOP is going to pull the rabbit out of the hat. Half the GOP want to return to pre-ACA with yearly and lifetime limits. No coverage for essential services. Yeah you could buy insurance for less, but you got what you paid for. Even those on employer sponsored plans had limits. Bankruptcy was common. The other half is not bat-shit crazy.
Ryan and Trump have issued an ultimatum. This is the final offer. Pass it Friday or they are leaving Obamacare in place. At the same time the CBO has issued a new score. Deficit savings slashed from $337B to $150B while premium hikes stay the same and 24m still lose their healthcare.
