    If I'm not mistaken, China was also the first to successfully treat spinal cord injury using nasal mucosa as well as porcine embryonic stem cell therapy. The U.S. is currently playing catch-up.

    These politically motivated stops on science are hurting the US and letting China get ahead. Ironically, this is all western developed technology but the Chinese government is fund research tests and green lighting experiments while Congress drags its feet in the US.
