an MMA fighter who has never fought professionally versus one of the greatest boxers ever (49 wins, goose egg losses) in a BOXING match? Hey! Conor just stepped on the scale & made weight. He cut about 15 pounds total so when he fights in 24 hours (after he rehydrates) he'll weigh 170 which is his "walk around" weight. Can Conor pull this off? Can he knock out (his only hope is a TKO or KO) the greatest boxer of the modern era? Floyd will win on points (duh!) and a boxing referee will stop a fight in a New York minute if one boxer dominates another too much. This isn't MMA where you have to be gushing blood until a ref stops a fight. Thus Conor knows: 1. he can't win on points against a defensive "point" fighter 2. the longer the fight drags on, the less chance Conor can land a knockout blow. Also if Conor gets knocked down too many times (even if he isn't damaged) boxing referees will stop a fight, and Conor loses. If Conor looks "outclassed" the referee can stop the fight. Yeah, fucking boxing for you! 3. he needs to go ALL OUT 100 percent focused on Floyd's chin, full stop. Wearing boxing gloves it's hard to cut somebody or break a nose or whatever. So getting a "doctor's stoppage" is nearly impossible for Conor. Even hitting Floyd is difficult because he's a great defensive boxer. But if Conor can connect with that hard left hand........................................it's game over for Floyd. Discuss!
From what I understand, win or lose he gets $100 million. Only if he goes to MMA and uses moves outside of boxing does he lose that money. Who cares what he does that boy is winning...by the way I can breed so hey McGreggor... I'm super smart and hot....
speaking of breeding google him having an erection at yesterday's weigh in. Yes of course if he used any MMA fighting techniques in a boxing match he would lose and possibly face charges for battery. MMA and boxing are apples-and-oranges. Regardless Conor is no doubt rehydrating and eating like a king as we speak to put weight back on so he can put 170 pounds into that hard left hand when it spins Floyds head around and puts him to sleep. Floyd might wake up thinking he's in his strip club!
Late lunch/early dinner. A cannoli, a pint of Wien Blonde, some garlic cheese bread, and a chicken Parmagian sandwich.
back on topic, MMA fans pretty much forgotten about the Floyd/Connor fight already. Heavyweight Floyd "Big Country" Nelson scored a decision victory at Bellator 183! No overhand knockout this time from Big Country, so it's nice to see him prove he's not a one-trick-pony.
