I love Dragon Con, I sadly had to miss it this year due to work. I always brew apple pie, the first year there was a competition at Dragon Con I won second place and based on the judge’s remarks it was a very close decision. I lost one point due to it not having a strong burn. Mine is smooth and mellow like jazz, while still strong as hell. Although I did start adding more grain alcohol to make it even stronger.
I bring the tech, and some awesome downtime videos and stuff. Which at DC is not very much use except perhaps on the first and last day. Not to mention MLP plushies, costume help, and I am now a certified profesional cosmotologist. Oh, and I always have RP dice on me. I can DM at a moments notice.
the military kicking it into high gear doing what they do best! I saw a crew of guys here on post wearing t-shirts with logos and wearing blue pants, being escorted by uniformed military members. I didn't know if they were some kind of work-release fuckups or some special CID agent mission or what the keck they were. Then I see one of these pictures and they are some kind of Nat Guard team or something I guess. Damn I saw the pics of the Bahamas.....wow. So much devastation I can't believe the fatalities were kept so low. Sad anyone died but in this case it very well could have been much, much worse! https://www.foxnews.com/us/hurricane-dorian-national-guard-troops-relief-efforts
The out of state electric crews have been staging their people down here for a change. This time they get a chance to hit the destruction from both sides instead of having to wait to the north and west and only have one front to approach any outages from. It seems the slow moving storm helped them to get these people down here beforehand because they were coming in over the weekend. The parking lots were full of their equipment. I also have to give the line techs of AT&T some credit. My sisters husband was working a ton of overtime as management because they were on strike down here, but they called it off and went back to work to prep for the hurricane and to fix any problems resulting in it. It would have been a PR nightmare for them if they hadn't.
yes it was good then that the storm was so slow moving! We are getting evacuees around here now. Anyone getting the hell out of Dodge from the coast gets free tickets to Atlanta Braves baseball games. Hey if it can take their minds off their troubles for a while, why not? They made the freeways out of the low country "one way" and all lanes are westbound only. So late tonight and into tomorrow morning we will find out if Dorian stays the projected course or heads further inland. Stay tuned!
have you ever tried to watch cricket? Twenty minutes in you welcome a cricket bat upside your head to put you out of your misery.
So you could watch golf? I guess if you like the game it can be exciting. I will watch billiards and bowling and find them exciting, but I have a real familiarity with the game. Even paintball I will say is boring as hell to watch if you are not up on what is going on. There are games that are really interesting to watch. Hockey is one of them. TV does not do it justice IMO. Hockey is awesome to watch in person. Basketball might also be an exciting game to watch. Volleyball is pretty exciting. Soccer can be fun also. However watching a baseball game or football game is like watching slugs fuck to me.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/h...tornadoes-in-carolinas/ar-AAGRmh3?ocid=msn360 and here come the tornados! That's what used to be the big problem when I lived in southern Alabama - hurricanes wouldn't get that far inland but the tornados spawned by the hurricanes were a bitch!
