I'm reasonably certain that many of the fans will happily "hate watch" the show, just so that they can get on social media and complain. Remember, the suits in charge don't care why you watch a show, they just care that you do watch it?
Not all voice actors/actresses can do live action... assuming they even want to. How do we know she wasn’t asked? And it’s not unusual for a character to be played by different actors, especially in different mediums. Although we know of many live action performers who have switched to voice acting, you hardly ever see it go the other way around.
What fight? The lady was the voice actor for the character. There is no obligation that she has to play the character. Are you mad that Mark Hamil never played the live action version of the Joker? The only people I've seen so far pissed off about Dawson are the writer for the book Ahsoka, the writer for the novelization of Rise of Skywalker and a bunch of other SJW dummies on Twitter who hate Dawson because they claim she's transphobic. And apparently you.
"A fight on your hands". You just know one of FF's Youtube piss-babies planted that phrase into the fucking ether. You ever fucking notice it's always the casting of a female that gets the piss-babies going? When was the last time they cried about a male casting? Jared Leto Joker. That's 4 fucking years ago. In that time there's been 50 female castings that have been screamed about. You're not supposed to take that as a sign of something though.
Actually I haven't seen anyone on Youtube complaining about Dawson being chosen. This time around it's only FF and a handful of people on Twitter trying to start a recast movement because they think Dawson is transphobic.
Jesus Christ! I never said she's obligated to play the role. All I did was suggest she be offered the role. But of course Feminist Dayton comes with the misogynist accusation. No, I'm not "mad" that Mark Hamil never played a live action Joker. Do I think it may be a missed opportunity, yes. I'm not "mad" about Dawson getting the role, I questioned why not Eckstein and gave my arguments in favor for it.
Anyhoo, the big question is - will Ahsoka be accompanied by Sabine Wren, since The Mandalorian is set about the time when the two of them should be off looking for Ezra? And Sabine would probably be a logical reason for Ahsoka to get involved in Mando stuff.
I hope so, as Tiya Sircar is the right age range and has enough resemblance to the character to pull it off. While having Eckstein also make the jump would've been nice, I don't think she herself would translate to the character as well. Wold be nice to get Hera and Chopper in as well, and Vanessa Marshall with CGI could likely still do it convincingly live.
There is a problem though with Sabine. That problem is her helmet. In fact the Mandalorian and Star Wars Rebels are in direct contradiction of each other in regards to Mandalorian culture. In Mandalorian you can not take off your helmet at all in front of anyone. Star Wars Rebels has not only Sabine but all other Mandalorian's running around without helmets. Also the rituals we see in Mandalorian do not match anything we see in Star Wars Rebels (in regards to creation of armor). The Mandalorian has established you never take off your helmet. Ever. I don't think we are going to see Sabine, Hera, or Chopper in The Mandalorian. Though I would like to see them.
There's rumors that Sabine and Ezra will be joining. They will have to address the contradictions. It could be a newly adopted tradition during the era of the Empire.
Ask Baptists, Presbyterians, and Greek Orthodox who should be baptized, why, and how, and you will see why it doesn't matter to me one whit why Mando A takes off his helmet and Mando B does not. Sabine Wren is probably a a member of the Reformed Southern Mandalorian Convention and Din Djarin is probably from the Concord Dawn Orthodox Mandalorian Enclave (Primitive).
Dawson supposedly got the role because the voice actress has done very little on-screen acting and it wasn’t certain that she could perform well enough. https://screenrant.com/mandalorian-not-cast-ashely-eckstein-ahsoka-why-explained/
They're doing a docuseries on the Mandalorian. https://www.theverge.com/2020/4/15/...us-documentary-docuseries-star-wars-baby-yoda
