That one took me all six tries to get, including a couple of "fishing for information" guesses where I ended up including an already-grayed letter because I couldn't think of anything else.
This one was a hard one. "WARTY" is an interesting guess. Unless you're @shootER and start with your guess #5.
American spellings are bad enough, but Dordle threw "eclat" at me this morning, which apparently is French for brightness/glowiness... Fuck's sake.
Not too bad. I laid up on guess 3 to narrow the possibilities, though the solution would've been my guess had I gone for it.
I don't count today's as an actual word. A name yes. I've seen it used as a word in sci-fi but only by those too lazy to write/say:
I took it as I also didn't get it. This was probably one where I should have tried the "find all possibilities, then come up with a throwaway word that has as many of the letters in them as possible" tactic instead of jumping straight to guessing.
WordleGame.org lets you play with different numbers of letters. Interesting thing about playing with four ... it's easier in a way, but you're a lot more likely to end up in situations where you have to make sacrificial guesses that can't be right but include as many possible letters as you can squeeze in, because you're constantly running into bake/cake/fake/lake/make/rake/sake/take/wake type situations.
I crushed it today! (Really, all I was hoping for on guess 2 was to lock in the position of the two known letters and maybe add another.)
Quordle has cheevos, so it's got some appeal, but Octordle is still the place to be. My usual strategy: STAIR CLONE DUMPY Gets most of the common letters and all vowels out of the way. If you could get H or G in there somehow...
