Worf and Troi was poorly received written, as was C/7, but how about when Worf finally married Jadzia? I don't recall comparable vitriol.

I don't get the hate for 7/R? Inter-racial Lesbian MILF is probably one of the top categories of certain streaming sites, not too mention the trolls' browser histories.

We've seen Mariner and Ransom getting sweaty over each other more than a few times, which'd make a more realistic pairing. They're "in the same league" and thus competitive yet complimentary.

Boims is definitely Ace.

Mariner/Random,much like Kira/Dukat, falls in the "Things I ship in fanfic but would be disasterous in canon" category, although if Lower Decks wanted take a swing at TNG's "Lesson" and the HR nightmare of that plot for one episode, I wouldn't complain

A decade ago, straight guys would've been all about it but as the culture wars ramped up and Trump normalized all kinds of hate and the queer representation on TV stopped being solely teases for straight men and more written with actual lesbians in mind, I've seen men online slagging such couples. There's a whole mess of Harley Quinn fans who whine that Kiteman got screwed by Poison Ivy dumping him for Harley, despite the two of them having been a thing for decades at this point.

Whole lotta folks were mad that Seven was made explicitly bi in the first place and it was the first time I saw anyone other than that user Teya from TrekBBS ever defend C/7. Like, it's just SO transparent

There is being attracted to, and then there is being able to be together and make each other better. They are two written characters so it is really what the writers write, but I see them capable of being good partners and that might include a romantic relationship on their level. I guess it does have to start somewhere with one or the other wanting to get romantic, but it could happen if the writers decide to and be good.

They could also play around with it like beverly and pickard.

I get what you’re saying and totally agree with. But … Poison Ivy totally fucked over Kiteman. Not once, but twice. Yes, he was stupid about it from the get go - wanted more than he knew Poison Ivy could/would give. Basically, Kiteman was written like a woman from a 1970s tv show.

Just got my S4 Blu-ray today and I realized something very... sad.

The artwork for each season of LD has been doing a great job of spoofing the TOS movie posters.

But we'll never see ST VI: TUC.

They could have fun with it though.
Have fake-God spit put Sybok, and no time passed for him.
Then we get to see the LD crew's regret nightmares.

I'm going to order the Mariner/Boimler/Tendi/Rutherford pops before the last season airs so I can get them before people start charging $100 a piece for them.

Ten years from now you'll be able to pick them up in the discount bin at the local Star Trek convention.

I don't to wait 10 years though.
