The ignorance of you presuming a god would have the ability to influence such things, but does nothing.
Most of us do not live in the middle of nowhere flyover state. To think that you are not some backwoods hick who has never been out of his little nowhere town is crazy. Imagine a welding hillbilly from fucking nowhere telling others how it is because he listened to the biggest fake news sources ever is laughable.
get out of your little town and get a real fucking job where ypou meet people other than on your welding team and then tell us all how you know about the world. God damned ginger recluse assclown.
I think I know a little better about how god works than the writer of a book of fiction 1000 years ago who plagarized most of their shit from a bunch of high desert jews.
I had a childhood nickname. Most people adapted and started calling me by my given name. No, the only people who call me by my childhood nickname are my nieces and nephews because to them, it’s a term of endearment.
You need better sources. Most of what's claimed their is bullshit and even they concede a cis girl beat the trans girls the same day. So much for dominance. Also? Anecdotes are not evidence.
When I met the woman I would marry, I was introduced by her sister - who referred to her by the pet name that EVERY member of her family never failed to use - BooBoo (almost to a person they still do 30+ years later) So I called her by that name and she said "don't call me that" (I think she clearly disliked it but didn't want to retrain her whole family) so I ask her name and she told me her first name and then said "don't call me that either" - so I asked if she liked her middle name better, which she did, and that settled it. Literally EVERY other circumstance in which someone says "this is the name I want to use now" everyone either goes along with or ignores (No, I'm never going to call him "Ye" but I'm never going to speak of him anyway) EXCEPT when the name crosses gender lines.
point of order! you think anybody at work likes him enough to carry on a non job specific conversation?
Because every video you see online comes complete with full context? Or hell, is even a video of what it claims to be? *sigh* Not sure why I keep doing the legwork on y'alls bullshit. From the article in your own goddamn link: On Saturday, a trans-identified male runner placed second in a 200m and 400m race at the Sherwood Need for Speed Classic in Sherwood, Oregon. In a video posted to X by Reduxx, in the first heat, Sophomore Aayden Gallegher sped away from the girls and cruised to victory with an overall time of 25.49 seconds. In a later heat, Gallegher's time was beaten by winner Aster Jones. ..... According to Athletic Live, Gallegher's run was enough for second place and the fifth fastest time ever run in the state's girls 200m. The first-place finisher, Aster Jones, ran the 200m in 24.43 seconds, which is just shy of the state record of 24.34 seconds. In the 400m race, Gallegher also nearly set a new state record coming in second place with a time of 55.61. This was the fourth fastest time ever run in the Oregon girls' 400m and was over two seconds faster than the third-place finisher. Winner Ellis Heslam ran the third fastest time in the 400m with a time of 55.47. In comparison, Gallegher's 200m time would have earned 61st place among the male athletes and 46th in the 400m. Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the word "dominate" but it typically doesn't involve losing races and "nearly" setting records. The whole "would have been x among male runners" business is typically used without reference to having been on HRT and that treatment suppressing times (as happened with Lia Thomas) -this article implies that this runner has been barred from such treatment but I'm skeptical because Oregon has passed no such ban and the comments are likely hypothetical. But even so, if the trans person WANT treatments that will suppress their athletic performance and zealots prevent that from happening, it is THEY who created the claimed physical advantage. In reaction to the video, the Independent Council on Women's Sports (ICONS) noted, "These record-setting high school male athletes will be rewarded with women’s collegiate roster spots and scholarships." Keeps getting predicted - keeps not happening. Get back to me when this individual gets her scholarship.
I've just started listening to the audiobook, and I have got to say that if you're a fan of Game of Thrones or Dune, you are going to want to pick this up! It has multi-generational palace intrigue and even if all you know about Roman history is that some guy named Caesar had a bad day in the middle of March, you'll recognize some of the names involved in this. To give an idea of just how bugfuck of a story this is. One of Heliogabalus' relatives might have been involved with offing Commodus!
Nope, we're not out here shoving gender ideology at kids . That's crazy talk. At least they get a chance to opt out this time. I'm sure not teacher will treat them differently for that. https://nypost.com/2024/04/19/us-ne...ew-gender-pronouns-including-the-phrase-tree/
Could that be the origin story? UA's transphobia is his repressed doomed cry of a Zeta Reticulan anal probe?
Actually, even if you assume that the NY Post story is completely true, it's hard to find much objectionable in it. Other than "OMG, kids might grow up aware that people who are different from them exist, and kids who don't conform might face a little less bullying! The world is coming to an end!"
Agreed. Is it really so hard to just accept how people want to present themselves? Let's even leave stuff like hormone blockers and Title 9 questions out for a minute. Just... what does it hurt to even know people like that exist? Unless you're worried your kids are so weak-willed that they're completely incapable of making their own opinions.
Boy, I'm sure glad Boy George and Annie Lennox didn't exist in the 80's. Can you imagine the calamity?
Fuck that, we need to blame this shit on Tom Hanks breaking into lesbian house with his best friend in drag. That is what caused the stonewall riots.
Or maybe, in a country with literacy rates in the toilet, normalizing "neo-pronouns" is a stupid thing to prioritize in school.
