Eh, this is the first time this has happened in the sixteen years I've run the place. I had a very good idea what happened and wanted to wait until I spoke to our tech guy before acting.

I had confirmation so I will deal with the problem now that I know. No biggie. I'm assuming the guy either didn't know what had happened to you, or didn't realize what happened last time.

I'm guessing he and a non-mod friend probably said, "Oh do it, the guy is a PITA and she won't notice."

Except she did because you squawked. But in truth, I would have seen it *anyhow* because some people in TNZ commented on it.

The problem is, as always, TNZ. I inherited that mess and unlike the rest of the board, I could not fix it. Part of that is due to the fact that the board is run by volunteers, not paid staff and I must have goodwill.

Part of it is due to the fact that like with the WF bunch when they were there, it's not really a place to discuss sensitive issues, but has become a community - and they are somewhat autonomous. As long as they don't bleed out onto the main board, I usually leave them alone unless they do unfair stuff. Then I do step in. Some don't like that, but tough shit. Life goes on.

It's not a problem. I'll smack the person responsible and it won't happen again. I've shot him an email and he knows even before talking to me that he's busted.

As for getting new people? They're known entities. They work hard and I work around any deficiencies. God knows they have to work around mine.

Ha ha, this was easy compared to last time.

I'm guessing a few convinced someone to do an end-run around me. I suspect he may not have remembered what happened last time, so he didn't think I'd give a shit. Most times, I back him when he does a ban.

If he was complicit knowingly, he won't do so again. We had our chat.

I'm pretty liberal in administrating including with my mods and admins. I realize they're people and can fuck up. God knows I did when I was a mod. As I said, I know them at this point and I don't let them go too far off the res.
