On the opposite side if they do get those things done there is a better than even chance that they will lose anyway when their own voters see that they lost their healthcare, tax cuts for millionaires mean education funding for their kids gets slashed, and the deficit balloons because tax cuts never pay for themselves.

Honestly the same could have been said of the presidential election. Trump did more than one thing that would have ended any other campaign. So, much like WoT, it's not that the other team is good, it's that they just suck slightly less than the team that lost.

From what I've read, there's an equally loud section of business owners who don't want this because they've seen the impact and whatever religious beliefs they hold don't extend to their pocketbooks.
