I was just going to go back to the primary thread and bring this up again.

Let me start with this: you can skip the first 11:50 to get to the interview but this is a pretty extensive discussion of Trump, bluntly, losing his mind in front of the world.

It's not much about the malignant narcissism he's always had, which is bad enough, but mental, physical, and verbal indications that he's quite literally disintegrating.

My view is that Biden is most likely to win, but that it's closer than most want to believe.

And that's not a prediction I'm happy to make, will be overjoyed if it's wrong and Trump gets absolutely walloped.

Isn't part of the problem we have that the secret service does not immediately act in defense of the US when a non-president threatens the function of the nation? Maybe we should be thinking real hard about why we give ex presidents who try to overthrow the country protection?

I'm perfectly willing to concede that it's effectively tied NOW...I just don't think it will be any closer in November than it was in 2020 - maybe not AS close.

One interesting factoid about the current polls is that Biden is right where he was, or maybe slightly higher, with white voters which he's unlikely to lose many of (Trump's has likely maxed out his white voter share) but Trump is polling closer because the polls show inflated numbers among minority groups - numbers high enough to be total outliers to the historical pattern, which would be an astonishing achievement if he can hold that and there's no objective factor that any of them have new reasons to switch to Trump. Likely they are just casting a phantom protest vote.

But Biden has a mountain of money a much much better ground organization and months to remind voters of all the reasons why they should be terrified of Trump winning.

Will be interesting to see how the polling noise works itself out over the next few months. I saw a poll the other day that had Gallego beating Lake 51-49%. I’m no Arizona expert but that sounds about right. However, the presidential polls show Biden trailing in Arizona by 4-6%.

So we’re supposed to believe there’s a small group of people who want to send a liberal Democrat to the Senate but re-electing Biden is a bridge too far. That makes sense.

Voting on these today (and also who's the least bad option for presidential nominee).

Question 1 reeks. Might have some use if the wording targeted problematic cases, but could be paired with budget cuts to leave elections chaotically underfunded. Voting No.

Question 2 is, again, too broad. I don't want random bystanders helping carry paper ballots around, but what are "tasks"? Is refilling a coffee machine for voters standing in line a task? Does law need to appoint an Election Coffee Intern for that? Voting No.

Florida Just Upended The Election

But living in the duh we all know we already voted for full marijuana legalization and the repugs jumped in and took that away giving the market to doctors by making it necessary top get a medical prescription for it. Great, we will vote for it again, and descumbag and his fascists will take it away again. This time we do know to vote against every repug on the floriduh ticket for being on thje descumbag human centipede. We might get somewhere.

It is not good enough in florida to vote for enshrining rights into the government. We need to vote to remove every single repug in the government and to tell fascist loving natives and immigrants from places like Cuba and other christian islands that if they want christian dictators they need to return to their island. Or the natives need to GTFO ands chose another country to live in. This is america and not a christian nation.

Since we have descumbag for another few years we need to eliminate his support in the legislature. None of our votes mean a thing when the legislature of the duh will eliminate any law and impose unconstitutional desantis laws.

This may very well be the thing that eliminates his fadscist control over the state and sends evewry unamerican repug in the state government packing. Maybe we could also do something about Rapey McForehead, baldy the social security rip off felon, and Rubio the Trump Butt plug.

60% threshold is high but Florida voters have overcome it recently for medical marijuana (2020 - 71%) and raising the minimum wage to $15/h (2020 - 60.68%… [gotta be the closest election in Florida history, no?]).

The medical Marijuana thing is a fucking joke in florida. You do have to see a doctor for 6 months before you are able to get your card, but as far as I can tell seeing a doctor means you call up a doctor who is prescribing it, you send him your medical records, you pay him 100-200 dollars a phone call, and you never visit him. Every month or so my dad has to talk to the doctor over the phone and tell him he still wants to take the stuff. There is no blood test or monitoring levels. There are no real instructions either. I guess maybe they monitor your purchases and if you are buying a whole lot of it they might say something.

I have listened to him with the doctor on the phone, and I have had dealers who ask more health related questions.

The only thing I really think they need is to worry about getting baked and driving, or caring for kids while high. I would actually like a little less powerful weed too, but it does fade pretty quick if you smoke it.
