Missouri Speaker of the House, and "Family Values" Republican, John Diehl, is discovered "sexting" a teen male intern, saying he wants to make him "quiver".

The intern in question is female, not male. Still plenty of hypocrisy, but your post needs work.

Normally I would say two adults so who cares? Yes, the fact that he is her boss opens him up to legal claims and he should be smarter than that but the main part which makes this a story is he held himself up as a moral paragon. If he wasn't a champion of family values then cheating wouldn't be a major story.

I stand corrected. I was misled by the treachery of others. He's still a tremendous hypocrite though, tryin' to get somethin' goin' with a barely legal intern, when he's married with kids, and plays the "Family Values" Card at damn near every opportunity.

You know, when a story that starts out with "HOUSE SPEAKER CAUGHT SEXTING WITH FRESHMAN INTERN" immediately continues with "(IMAGES)" and then ends in "Click on the first image to view as slideshow", perhaps our critique shouldn't be exclusively directed at the Speaker.

Speaker sees an intern who looks very much like his wife. He makes a bit too much eye contact.

Homely looking intern isn't used to getting looks from guys, much less very powerful, well established guys. So homely intern returns look.

Speaker, who is used to ignoring lots of hot interns who don't fire off the very well established 'wife' neural pathways and who don't return his not looks, looks more.

Intern, not used to being looked at, returns his looks.

Speaker follows his long established marital mating signals with a younger, more adventurous and exciting version of his wife, while intern finally gets to fulfill her fantasies.
