So I will be visiting London in July. First time visiting the UK/Europe. I haven't booked tickets yet but planning to be there for 6-8 days. I made a rough list of things I might want to see. Is it realistic to see all this in a week? Not traveling with family, just a solo trip. What sites should I skip? What sites am I missing? What part of town should I stay in? Where can I get some good Indian food and what sort of stuff can I get up to in the evenings when I am done with my sightseeing for the day? Any advice is appreciated! some ideas: Stonehenge (a whole day trip?) Dover Castle / Dover Cliffs (another day trip?) Kensington Palace Buckingham Palace St. Paul Cathedral Westminster Abbey British Museum (a whole day here?) Natural History Museum Trafalgar Square Hyde Park Big Ben London Eye Tower Of London Shakespeare's Globe Abbey Road Studio Albert Hall Thames River Tour or London City Tour (can I hit most of these sites on a tour rather than visiting each one myself?) Feel free to add, subtract, or edit anything above. I am an ignorant Yankee. I really have no idea. Just started thinking about it today. I figure London is not all that different from New York other than the accents and the currency. Maybe better public transportation/public safety?
Bombay Bustle, I go there every time I'm in London. Feels like it gets better every time https://bombaybustle.com/
Thanks for the recommendation! I don’t know how true this is, but I have heard that London is the best place for Indian food and it would probably be a shame to go there and miss out.
I’m a big Indian food guy (grew up in a Sikh neighborhood in Vancouver) and while I’ve never been to India the best Indian food I’ve ever had has been in London. I go there twice a year for work and it’s always the first meal I have when i get there. Highly recommend @matthunter can probably back me up even though he’s a doss cunt
